With the release of the annual reports of a number of express delivery companies in the A-share market, the remuneration list of the senior management team, including directors, supervisors and other senior management, has gradually become clear.

According to statistics, among several A-share listed express companies in 2023, SF Express has the highest total annual remuneration of 48.51 million yuan, firmly occupying the top spot in the industry, which is almost three times the total remuneration of executives of other A-share listed express companies in the same period, compared with Shentong, Yunda and Yuantong, which have a total annual remuneration of 18.28 million yuan, 15.04 million yuan and 14.06 million yuan respectively.

In terms of the average annual remuneration of senior executives, SF Express continued to demonstrate its strong financial strength as an industry leader, with an average remuneration of 3.23 million yuan, significantly ahead of its peers. Shentong, Yunda, and Yuantong followed, with the average remuneration of senior executives of 1.22 million yuan, 840,000 yuan, and 740,000 yuan respectively.

Specific to the annual salary of senior executives at the chairman and general manager level, Wang Wenbin, general manager of Shentong, ranked first with 5.1457 million yuan, followed by Nie Tengyun, chairman and president of Yunda, with 3.3975 million yuan, Chen Liying, co-chairman and vice president of Yunda, ranked third with 2.5306 million yuan, followed by Chen Dejun, chairman of Shentong with 1.8105 million yuan, Pan Shuimiao, president of YTO, 1.2541 million yuan, and Wang Wei, chairman and general manager of SF, with 1.161 million yuan.

It is worth mentioning that, compared with last year, except for SF, Shentong, Yunda and YTO have not changed much in terms of the total annual remuneration of senior executives, the average salary of senior executives, and the annual salaries of the chairman and general manager. The total annual remuneration of SF Express increased by 19.3 million yuan, and Wang Wei's total annual salary also increased by nearly 460,000 yuan.

In addition, compared with others, SF Express also announced the detailed composition of executive compensation, including salaries, allowances, bonuses, robes (remuneration for directors working for the company), other benefits and share-based remuneration expenses, of which share-based remuneration expenses were 17.67 million yuan, mainly involving the expenses of the company's equity incentive plan, which became the main part of its remuneration growth this year.

At the same time, it should be noted that the remuneration figures disclosed in the annual report may not fully reflect the actual income of senior executives, as they may receive additional income from the remuneration of other positions, shareholdings or affiliated companies. For example, YTO Yu Huijiao, although his annual report showed that his annual salary was zero, he actually received remuneration from related parties of the company.

In 2023, the total pre-tax remuneration of SF's senior management team will reach 48.51 million yuan, and on average, the average annual remuneration of senior executives will be 3.2339 million yuan, which fully reflects SF's great importance to senior management talents, and it is worth noting that the remuneration of senior executives is widely distributed, ranging from 641,000 yuan to 9.611 million yuan (excluding individuals with no compensation records).

He Jie, the director and deputy general manager of SF Express, who is also the head of finance, topped the list of executive salaries with a pre-tax salary of 9.611 million yuan. It is understood that He Jie, 49 years old, has an academic background from the University of Hong Kong and Tsinghua University, and has accumulated deep professional knowledge in the fields of financial management, corporate finance, auditing and corporate operations. Since September 2021, Mr. Ho has served as the Deputy General Manager and Chief Financial Officer (Chief Financial Officer) of SF Holdings, and was promoted to Director in November of the same year, and further became an Executive Director in August 2023. In addition, he has been a non-executive director of Kerry Logistics and a non-executive director of SF REIT since October 2021 and April 2022 respectively, and the chairman of the board of directors of SF REIT since August 2023, with a wide range of roles commensurate with his high remuneration.
