Recently, a group of declaration drawings of the new SUV with the internal code C857 of Deep Blue were obtained from the latest issue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's automobile catalog, and the production version may be named S05. The new model is a compact SUV based on Changan's new dedicated electric vehicle platform and is expected to be unveiled in the third quarter of 2024. It is powered by a range-extender hybrid system and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new dark blue design language as a whole, and the front face has an angular closed front grille, which looks like a "mecha god of war". Split headlight clusters are used on both sides, the upper narrow daytime running lights are more like key shapes, and the lower triangle is the fog lamp area.
On the side of the body, compared with the S7 body, the new car is more round and full. At the rear, the newly matched through-type light strip + narrow tail lights form a split design. The length, width and height of the new car are 4620×1900×1600mm, and the wheelbase is 2880mm.
In terms of interior, the interior declaration map was not revealed, according to the previously exposed spy photos, the new car may adopt the interior configuration of S7, and the center console is only equipped with a design layout of a super-large floating central control screen.
The power parameters have not yet been revealed, but in terms of power, the new car is expected to provide a range-extended hybrid system and a single-motor and dual-motor four-wheel drive system, of which the range-extended hybrid system is paired with 17.08kW·h and 27.28kWh battery packs, with a pure electric range of 100km and 150km.
