As the alarm bell sounded, the earthquake emergency evacuation drill officially began. The teachers of each class quickly organized the students to bend over, hold their heads, curl up their bodies, and quickly leave the classroom to gather in the open playground, and the leaders of each grade group immediately counted the number of students and reported to the drill commander.
After the evacuation, the Yuqing County Fire and Rescue Brigade also went to some classes to distribute fire safety knowledge manuals to the students, teaching them how to quickly find desks, lecterns, corners and other sheltering places to protect their own safety in the event of an earthquake, which inspired the students a lot.
"Through today's study, I have learned that when an earthquake occurs, we have to bend over with our heads in our hands and try to run as far as possible in an open area, and if we don't escape from the classroom, we need to find a place that can protect us, such as under the desk, under the lectern, or at the corners of the wall." Long Boheng, the second class of the fifth grade of the experimental primary school, said.
"If we are overwhelmed by the rubble in the process of escaping, we should first not shout loudly, but save our energy and look for objects next to us that can make a sound of tapping, so that the firefighters can determine our exact location more quickly." Song Yujie, the second class of the fifth grade of the experimental primary school, said.
"Through this exercise, we let the students understand the hazards caused by the earthquake and how we should deal with it correctly if an earthquake occurs, ensure our own safety and how we can save ourselves in the rubble, and effectively improve their awareness of prevention and self-rescue ability."
