Let the mother's love continue in the delivery room

"Wow-" The baby's cry bears witness to a 16-year career as a caregiver.

Zhuang Li is the head nurse of the delivery room of Nanjing BenQ Hospital, mainly responsible for the nursing management of the delivery room and breastfeeding consultation and guidance. She told reporters that the hospital has about 150 births per month, with an average of 5-6 babies born every day. "During childbirth, we are mainly responsible for observing the labor process, cooperating with doctors on the delivery table to implement safe delivery, and implementing basic health care measures for newborns in the early years. Unlike other departments, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has more 'happy moments', and I feel very happy to be able to witness the birth of new lives. Zhuang Li said that with the accumulation of clinical experience, she has become more and more handy and responsible for this job.

At home, Zhuang Li is a mother of two; In the hospital, she gives warmth and strength to every expectant mother, so that the mother's love continues in the delivery room. Her family is her strongest backing, and their support and dedication allow Zhuang Li to devote more energy to work. Zhuang Li believes that her dedication and attitude towards her work can have the effect of teaching by word and deed. "My children are in adolescence and communication is very important. No matter how late we get off work, we all share stories of our time in the hospital and at school. ”

Shi Hongliang is an obstetrics and gynecology nurse at Nanjing BenQ Hospital, and her small body contains a lot of energy. This year, Shi Hongliang will usher in an important stage in his life - becoming a mother, and his excitement is overflowing from time to time. Although she is 5 months pregnant, she still pushes a work cart weighing dozens of pounds and works tirelessly to care for expectant mothers.

"The last time Nurses' Day and Mother's Day coincided was in 2019, when I had just started working and didn't have much to think about. Nowadays, I feel that Nurses' Day is really meaningful, although I am usually busy and tired from work, but every time it comes, everyone gathers in the department to celebrate, even if it is just an ordinary cake, I will feel extremely happy. Shi Hongliang said.

I'll give you a little red flower

The warm "mother" in the heart of the child

"If you have you, you will have the world's ......" When the reporter came to the lounge of the 205B tumor ward of the Hexi branch of Nanjing Children's Hospital, 16-year-old Xue Zhengyang was singing the song "Confession Balloon" for the nurse "mother" Zhao Qian.

The ticking sound of instruments made its way through the hallway, and the ward, which sounded a little heavy with the name, was overflowing with the love and smiles of the doctors and nurses. Zhao Qian, the head nurse of the ward, smiled and pointed to the colorful cartoon pendant on her chest to introduce to reporters, which was a gift received from a child a few days ago.

In 2002, Zhao Qian entered Nanjing Children's Hospital, more than 20 years have passed. She has seen many incurable diseases, and she has to deal with the uncertain emotions of parents and children. Here, often an operating door separates anxious parents from fragile lives.

Xue Zhengyang, a prospective high school student, came here last year for treatment of an intracranial germ cell tumor. At the beginning of the treatment, he was stubborn and more serious, which made Zhao Qian very distressed. "When he first came to chemotherapy, he was very sensitive, and he always looked at people with a cautious look, like a self-protective armor. After the PICC (Peripheral Intravenous Central Venous Catheter) was placed, we taught him well and needed to cooperate with arm exercises, but he did not move. Zhao Qian saw that Xue Zhengyang was as old as her son, so she affectionately called him "eldest son", patiently pulled his arm to do exercises, and asked from time to time, "Do you move, does it hurt", Xue Zhengyang moved his arm and said, "It doesn't seem to hurt so much." In the process of getting along slowly, Xue Zhengyang let go of his fear, began to call Zhao Qian "mother", and became cheerful.

At the end of last year's treatment, Xue Zhengyang made a wish to his "mother": Can he come to Nanjing to see her again next year? If she couldn't come to Nanjing, she was invited to her hometown Yancheng Dongtai as a guest. Zhao Qian remembered this agreement, and took her son to Dongtai to fulfill the contract in the early spring of this year. On the day of "5.12", Xue Zhengyang came from his hometown to celebrate the double festival for his "mother" and volunteered in the hospital, which was very fulfilling. "When I first found out I was sick, I was scared and scared. After entering the 205B cancer ward for treatment, with the accurate treatment of the doctors and the care of the nurses, I gradually came out of the haze and regained my confidence in the future. It's like another home away from home, it gives me infinite warmth and leaves me with many deep memories. It was unfortunate that I was sick, but I was lucky to receive the best treatment and care here. Xue Zhengyang said.

A dazzling array of paintings, blind boxes, building blocks, and pendants fill Zhao Qian's office, many of which were made by the children in the rainbow activity corner. Zhao Qian told reporters that some parents could not accept it when they first learned of their child's condition and were skeptical of medical staff; There are also parents who feel that their children are sick and overindulge them. "The philosophy that I have always passed on is that even if a child is sick, it is important to establish the right outlook on life for them, not only physically healthy, but also mentally healthy. In this regard, parents should give their children positive guidance. ”

In front of patients and their families, Zhao Qian will never show weakness. "We are a driving force behind the parents. It is better not to cry than to cry, and parents will face it with a smile so that the child can dispel his fear. "The hospital has a set of incentives in the Rainbow Activity Corner, even if they exchange small safflowers for gifts, they will also transfer cheerful and negative parents in a ward to comfort and cheer each other up. There are a total of 23 nurses in the 205B Cancer Ward, who warm every little patient with their hearts and make the ward full of love and hope.
