In the inpatient department of the dermatology department of the Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, nurse Bai Hui is preparing for the day's duty. She was a "novice nursing" when she first joined the hospital four years ago, and now, with the accumulation of front-line clinical experience, this young girl has gradually grown into a trusted work expert by patients.
In the dermatology department, there are many nurses like Bai Hui. At 9 a.m. every day, as the number of patients coming for treatment gradually increases, the department ushers in the busiest time of the day. With the nurses' station as the center, medical carts come and go, and the sound of doctor-patient communication and ward bells come and go, breaking the original tranquility of the hospital corridor.
In the treatment room, nurses are treating patients. In response to the needs of different patients such as skin sensitivity and dermatitis, the Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has launched traditional Chinese medicine physiotherapy methods represented by traditional Chinese medicine masks and fire needles. "It's much better after the treatment." Whenever I hear the approval from the patients, the hearts of all the nurses are happy.
The handover of daily nursing work is related to the life and health safety of patients. At 8 a.m., at the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital, nurses began their daily shifts. Before the shift change every day, all nurses should make a statement on the situation of the patients in the ward. Subsequently, under the leadership of the head nurse, the nurse on duty also had to learn more about the situation of the critically ill patients through the form of bedside shifts.
It is understood that there are currently 94 nurses in the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital, including both old-timers who have worked for more than 30 years and young juniors who have just completed one year in the hospital. In the relay of shifts day after day, the "Lantern Mission" written with care, love and responsibility is being passed down in the hands of generations of nursing workers, and it is the common voice of all nurses to be the guardians of women's and children's health.
Nursing is not only the implementation of medical treatment, but also the genuine care for patients. In the Dazhuang Township Health Center, in addition to daily work such as dispensing medicines, treatment, and writing nursing documents, nurses also serve as health "stewards" for the villagers.
Dazhuang Township has a large elderly population, and many of the patients treated are elderly people with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. In the process of treatment, combined with the patient's physical condition, the nurses of the health center started to popularize the science of dietary therapy, and gave careful advice every sentence, full of real concern for the patient.
