Currently, around 100 smart technology applications have been launched at the Shenyang site to enable higher levels of quality control and consistency, as well as enable real-time production process monitoring and real-time data analysis
For example, in the stamping workshop of BMW Brilliance Dadong Factory, BMW's self-developed intelligent quality inspection system can not only track and inspect every part on the production line, but also analyze data extremely quickly, only 0.01 seconds to complete the analysis of a single image data in the stamping process, and the detection accuracy can gradually approach 100%, so that the tiny gaps that cannot be found by the naked eye can be hidden, ensuring that the parts can enter the next process in the best condition.
Another example is the 6 million BMW car off the assembly line, the innovative all-electric BMW i5, which will be available in a new matte pure grey paint in May.
The texture of this kind of paint is delicate and high-end, and it has strict requirements for spraying and quality inspection in the production process. To this end, an automated optical inspection (AOI) robot is used in the paint shop to take more than 100,000 photos of each painted body, and identify small defects such as impurities, fibers, and scratches with a detection accuracy of 0.01 mm, ensuring the consistency, uniformity, ductility, and gloss of the paint...... All of them are in line with BMW's global unified color value standard.
The innovative all-electric BMW i5 has a high level of performance due to its workmanship quality.
