The reason is simple, there was not much budget at that time, and Haval was popular, the H6 could not afford it, and the H1 was just in line with my financial situation. In the past eight years, this car has never let me break down on the road, let alone go to the repair shop, even if the car is parked for more than two months during the epidemic lockdown, it can be started as soon as it starts, these experiences have made me extremely impressed by the domestic car.
Since then, my trust in domestic cars has only increased. Although the Haval H1 is not too eye-catching, its reliability and economy have given me a new understanding of domestic cars. Although the car is small, it does not lack functions at all: the reversing image is clear, and the multi-function steering wheel is a little time-sensitive, and the button response is a little slow, but it does not affect the use. Crucially, the car has surprisingly low fuel consumption, averaging only five cents per kilometer, which is quite impressive for a small SUV with a manual transmission.
However, the vehicles are not flawless. The Haval H1 is a little less powerful, and the 1.5-liter self-aspirated engine needs to be stepped on a deeper slope with a speed of three or four thousand. That said, with a few tips, overtaking can be easily tackled. After eight years of use, the reading lights in the car are broken, the headlights are a little dim, and there are occasional unsmooth situations when the reverse gear is applied. But these minor issues didn't affect my day-to-day driving, and for me, these were acceptable flaws.
Last year, I decided to sell this Haval H1, which has been with me for many years, and finally sold it at a price of 14,500 yuan, considering the age and use of the car, I am satisfied with this price. Due to the good performance of the first car, I chose the Great Wall product again, this time the Haval H6 new energy version.
For my second car, I chose a hybrid model, the Haval H6 new energy DHT-PHEV. Why did you choose a hybrid? First of all, new energy vehicles are gradually becoming the mainstream, the future development trend is obvious, and can enjoy purchase tax reduction, cost-effective. Compared to my first Haval H1, the new car is a whole other level in terms of performance. Even though I've test-driven my colleagues' joint venture brand SUVs, such as Hyundai, I still feel that my car is superior in chassis and handling.
Another advantage of hybrid models is their economy. Most of the time I drive in the city, using pure electric mode, the cost is very low, even according to the price of the charging station outside, the cost per kilometer is only about 0.15 to 0.18 yuan. If you charge it at home, the cost can be lower. At high speeds, even an SUV with a ton of nearly 2 tons has a fuel consumption of only 6.5L per 100 kilometers, which is quite satisfactory in comparison.
The recent upgrade of the vehicle system also solves the small problem that the previous settings cannot be saved, making the use of the vehicle more smooth. After such a long period of use, I have a deep understanding and trust in the quality control and quality of Great Wall Motors.
In the domestic market, not only Great Wall, but also other domestic car brands such as BYD and Chery are also constantly improving and improving. BYD has become a leader in the field of new energy, and Chery's sales are a testament to the market acceptance of its products. Domestic cars are no longer synonymous with backward technology in the past, and now domestic cars have been able to compete with joint venture brands in terms of configuration, performance, appearance and intelligence, and even surpass them in some aspects.
Looking at the growth and progress of domestic cars over the years, I am full of confidence in continuing to support domestic cars in the future. After all, from personal experience, domestic cars have proven their reliability and cost-effectiveness. When it comes to choosing the next car, I have no reason not to continue to support domestic cars.
