Following the success of the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, Ayaneo has now officially launched the retail sale of the AM01 mini PC on its official website. The AM01 is designed to pay homage to the classic Macintosh Classic, but in a much smaller size.
Despite its small size, the AM01 offers a variety of configuration options. Users can choose from 8GB to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage. Recently, Aiyan also launched a version with a Ryzen 7 5800U processor. The processor is based on the Zen 3 architecture and integrates Radeon Vega 8 graphics, but it was released in 2021. It remains to be seen whether Ai Yan will launch a follow-up version with an updated CPU.

The AM01 offers a wide range of ports and storage options. It includes a 2280 M.2 port for expanding primary storage (with PCIe 3.0 bandwidth), a SATA port for secondary storage, two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots for memory upgrades, and a choice of CPU configurations (the CPUs currently available on the website are the Ryzen 3 3200U and the Ryzen 7 5700U). A 35-watt fan with an aluminum heatsink and four copper heat pipes ensures stable system operation. The AM01 measures just 5.2 x 5.2 x 2.38 inches (132 x 132 x 60.5 mm), but for its size, it offers a surprisingly rich number of I/O options.

The highest-spec version of the AM01 costs $449, including shipping. However, potential buyers need to be aware of possible tariffs, which depend on their region.
In addition, warranty coverage may vary by region. While full-fledged mini PC options already exist on the market, such as ASUS's NUC series, the AM01's undeniable selling point lies in its unique and nostalgic Macintosh-inspired design.
