Yesterday, Sichuan Tianwei Electronics Co., Ltd., located in Shuangliu Economic Development Zone, Sichuan Province, released an AI intelligent protection system for electric vehicles and electric bicycle charging sheds, which can achieve accurate identification, early warning and disposal of fires in seconds.

This is one of the few high-tech products in China that applies artificial intelligence to the field of civil fire protection. The reporter learned that Tianwei Electronics AI intelligent protection system is based on the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, intelligent robot and other technologies, combined with the company's experience in the field of fire extinguishing and explosion suppression for many years, the system is expected to be piloted in Shuangliu District before August this year.

"The AI intelligent protection system is a new field, new business and new business model developed by Tianwei Electronics for the layout of the civilian market, and the application prospect is broad." Chen Congyu, executive deputy general manager of Tianwei Electronics, said that in recent years, with the continuous growth and development of the new energy transportation industry, electric vehicle charging fire accidents have occurred from time to time, and the fire safety of charging infrastructure has become the focus of attention from all walks of life.

Chen Congyu revealed that the development of Tianwei Electronics' AI intelligent protection system was launched in September last year, and the company built a laboratory in the factory on the first floor to simulate the charging shed scene. The fire-fighting hardware facilities in the shed are composed of a Huiyan robot, a Huiyan sensing device, a fire extinguishing disposal end and a linkage control device. A cloud server is set up in the computer room on the 9th floor of the enterprise office building to carry the emergency command and control platform, which can view the charging shed situation in real time and control it remotely through PC terminals or mobile terminals.

"Most buildings are equipped with similar smoke detectors, fire alarms and fire extinguishing devices, but this traditional equipment only intervenes after a fire has occurred, and the response time is about tens of seconds or even minutes. The core function of Tianwei Electronics AI intelligent protection system is 'early warning', which can find hidden dangers in time before the fire occurs or in the bud, and realize the early warning and disposal in seconds. In the process of research and development, technicians train the system based on deep learning algorithms, try different data models, find the optimal model, and correct the data processing bias through a large number of training, so as to improve the accuracy and intelligence of the system's identification and disposal.

"According to the preliminary experimental data, the success rate of the system for temperature and fireworks early warning disposal can reach more than 99%." Zhou Jie told reporters that after the application pilot project in Shuangliu District, the intelligent system will continue to learn, continuously improve and optimize in actual combat. "Relying on this system, we have launched the overall project construction and operation model of centralized charging and intelligent safety management of electric bicycles, and plan to cooperate with state-owned companies and social capital to invest in the construction and operation of a number of AI intelligent protection system charging infrastructure." Chen Congyu also revealed that it is planned to achieve the first (set) of AI-based electric vehicle charging intelligent safety protection system products by August this year.
