From May 1st to May 4th, 2024, the 13th BYD Cup Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Challenge (referred to as "Sand 13") was successfully held in the Tengger Desert of Alxa League. The Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Challenge covers the business school community in the Asia-Pacific region, making the Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Challenge one of the highest-profile business school impact competitions in the region. The participating universities cover business schools in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Australia, North America and other regions. Since the first competition was held in 2012 in the Tengger Desert of Alxa League, Inner Mongolia, the Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Challenge has been successfully held for 13 years, with more than 150 business schools participating in the competition and nearly 30,000 people directly participating in the competition.

The competition is divided into three categories: MBA Group, EMBA Group and MEM Group. In the MBA category, Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, won the first place, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University won the second place, and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics won the third place. The EMBA category was won by the EMBA of Southeast University. A total of 52 college teams won the highest honor award of the competition, the "Sand Gull Award", including 43 Jinsha Ou colleges, 8 silver sand gull colleges and 1 Shaou first flight college.
