But the entrepreneurs who are still active today are actually from the previous group, "all veterans of the industry".

Wang Guangxi believes that the challenge of this group of people is not the inertial thinking and path dependence of the academic community, but the cross-border ability. He has a conjecture, such as robots, "Maybe you only have AI scientists, or only automation and mechanization engineers, you can't do this well, you must have a high cross-border ability, understand both things very deeply, thoroughly, and can be well combined and implemented." ”

However, he also found that some "new generation" scientists are naturally able to combine the two things well. They are young, fearless, optimistic and have a constant passion for technology. Although the previous generation of successful people had all the ingredients for success, and these elements were also being engineered and productized, "the people who really rewrote history and created history may be those who believe in new technologies."

For example, Chen Jianyu, the founder of Xingdong Era, has been developing robots for more than ten years, and became an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor of Tsinghua University at the age of 28, promoting Xingdong Era to become one of the first companies to set foot in the field of embodied intelligent humanoid robots.

For the talents behind disruptive innovation, Mi Lei adheres to the concept of "less management", "you have to give him more freedom, so that he can freely explore, play, and innovate." Of course, we still have to help those who should be helped, but the core is to do a good job in the environment. Sometimes, Mi Lei feels that the external environment for some innovations is still not friendly enough, and "the resources to really support disruptive technologies and cutting-edge technologies are insufficient."

Mi Lei hopes that the government can play a more important role in the carrier of innovation, "just like the infrastructure construction in the past, in the era of innovation, we must do innovative infrastructure, such as public technology platforms."

Wang Guangxi suggested that for those early-stage companies that are really doing new quality productivity, more preferential support and market opportunities can be given at the policy and industrial levels.
