As SAIC's core independent brand, DMH super hybrid technology has been implemented on the Roewe brand, and the Roewe D7 DMH, as the first model with this technology, has been launched in November last year. At this Roewe DMH technology brand conference, Roewe officially launched two new cars again, Roewe D5X DMH will be launched on May 20, and iMAX8 DMH will be launched in the fourth quarter.
Previously, the Roewe D5X DMH has opened pre-sales at the Beijing Auto Show, with a pre-sale price range of 119,800-146,800 yuan. As the first SUV model equipped with the DMH super hybrid system, the new car is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine, matched with a high-efficiency dual-motor hybrid drive, and accelerates to 100 kilometers in 6.9 seconds, with a CLTC pure electric range of 135 km and a CLTC comprehensive range of 1,300 km.

In terms of product planning, Roewe has released a plan for the next three years in view of the gap in the existing new energy product line in the price range of 10-200,000 yuan - Roewe plans to continue to launch 8 pure electric and plug-in hybrid models by 2025 to meet the new car needs of the mainstream market and mainstream people. The launch of the Roewe D5X DMH and iMAX8 DMH is an important part of Roewe's strategy to return to the main track.
Roewe has begun to fully embrace new energy, especially in the plug-in hybrid field, PHEV has become the largest outlet in the Chinese automobile market, which has also become the biggest opportunity for Roewe to "return to the main track".
According to the plan, in addition to the D5X DMH and iMAX8 DMH, Roewe also has a model with the internal code name D5, which is also planned to be launched at the end of 2024 or early 2025. In addition, it is worth mentioning that, according to SAIC's senior management at the press conference, the Roewe brand will launch a range-extended mid-size SUV in 2025 to further improve the hybrid technology configuration.
