At the project site, 3 excavators and 1 bulldozer are working intensively, and more than 40 workers are working on site leveling and equipment commissioning. The project was launched in March last year, with a total investment of 230 million yuan, and the main construction content includes water intake, water purification process system, sludge treatment system and water distribution pipe network system.
According to the relevant staff of the District Water Affairs and Lake Bureau, there are currently 6 water plants in our district, which can basically meet the water demand of 1.4 million people in the surrounding area during the peak period, but there is still a shortage of supply during the peak water consumption period from July to September every year. To this end, according to the 14th Five-Year Plan, the District Water Affairs and Lake Bureau will optimize six water plants in the district in accordance with the construction standards of large water sources, large water plants and large pipe networks, and the Longbedji Water Plant Upgrading Project is one of them.
It is understood that Longbedji Water Plant was founded in 1979, the water intake is in the Longbedji section of the Yangtze River, after 5 times of expansion (reconstruction), covering Zhifang City, Jinkou, Zhengdian, Wulongquan, Daqiao Modern Industrial Park and other areas.
