Wang Jingwei's Nanjing Nationalist Government, Chiang Kai-shek's Chongqing Nationalist Government, and Mao Zedong's Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningbo Border Region Government formed a three-legged situation, each acting in its own way, and constraining each other.
