Thai police blackmailed and kidnapped five Chinese tourists

In a recent kidnapping case in Thailand, three men stormed a hotel in Bangkok's Din Daeng district and kidnapped five Chinese businessmen from their rooms. They posed as police officers and extorted the equivalent of about 2.5 million baht (about 488,000 yuan) from the five Chinese citizens. Shockingly, there was really the involvement of the Thai police in this case.

On April 29, local time, the Thai police received a report from five Chinese businessmen that they were forced to transfer 2.5 million baht of digital currency to the digital wallet of a man surnamed Su. After several days of investigation, on May 6, Ding Dan police arrested two suspects in the gang, Zhu Lin Su and Yang Qiujian, on charges of extortion, impersonating a public official, illegal detention and coercion, while Yang Jianqiu was arrested for accepting stolen goods.

The investigation revealed that it was a kidnapping and ransom ring, led by Su Zhulin, and targeted Chinese citizens who had traveled to Thailand. Once the target is identified, the gang implements their plan as a police officer.

The gang's crime process is quite tight, and it is difficult for the victims to see the flaws under the panic. When the victim contacts a Laotian gang to redeem a ransom with a credit card, one of the women in the gang prepares a card reader and meets the victim. After that, several other members of the gang posing as police officers will go into action, Su Zhulin and Yang Jianqiu are both Chinese citizens, and Su Zhulin has already obtained Thai citizenship.

They then detain the victim in a white Toyota Camry and threaten them with a 7-year prison sentence if they pay the ransom by swiping their credit card. At this point, the gang will provide a QR code that asks the victim to provide cryptocurrency and transfer it into the gang's digital wallet.

After his arrest, Su Zhulin confessed to being involved in the extortion scheme, and he confessed that the person responsible for handling the cryptocurrency was Yang Jianqiu. When Yang Jianqiu gets the cryptocurrency, he will exchange it for Thai baht and distribute the funds to other gang members. The 34-year-old Laotian woman who was responsible for preparing the card reader was detained on May 4 local time.

Further investigation revealed that there were 11 suspects in the case, and investigators have now obtained arrest warrants for 10 of them and arrested 7 of them, and the status of one suspect is still being verified.

According to The Nation, Thailand's second-largest English-language newspaper, the seven arrested include five Thais and two Chinese, including a current police officer working at the police emergency communications center and a former chief investigator at a police station in Bangkok who was fired by the police in 2023. The three fugitives are a 56-year-old Chinese citizen, a 26-year-old Thai and a 34-year-old police officer from Bangkok, and the police are actively pursuing them.

Netizens said: Savadika, swipe your card. Thailand has not been a time or twice in the vicious case of "police and bandit family" against Chinese tourists, and I still remember that the "Mekong River tragedy" that killed 13 Chinese sailors more than 10 years ago was even involved in the Thai military.

Netizens said: Now there is a bad trend, I feel that in the eyes of any country, the Chinese have become "fat sheep", and now there are almost no people who are not blackmailed by their public servants even transiting in Southeast Asia.

Netizens said: The gun ownership rate is the first in Southeast Asia, the yacht capsized and killed many tourists, the Erawan Shrine shooting, the shopping center shooting... Are all Chinese people fish?

Netizens said: Thai real and fake police teamed up to kidnap Chinese tourists and extort 2.5 million baht, including Laotian female liars, it's okay or don't go abroad, can't you play in China?

Netizens said: Are you going to travel to Thailand again? Why do the police dare to kidnap and extort Chinese tourists? It shows that Thailand doesn't care about you at all, anyway, there are still a lot of Chinese people who travel to Thailand.

The cadre was reported by his wife for cheating on his ex-wife in marriage

According to Red Star News: On May 6, Liu, a cadre of the Finance Bureau of Dingbian County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, was reported by his wife Han that Liu cheated on his ex-wife during the marriage between the two, and lived in Xi'an for a long time on the grounds of seeing a doctor and did not go to work at the unit, and was suspected of "eating empty wages".

On the 7th, Han told the Red Star News reporter that she and Liu were reconstituted families, both of whom had been divorced and had children. "We registered our marriage on March 12, 2021, and I have been selling lottery tickets opposite the county finance bureau before, and Liu often comes to my store to buy lottery tickets, and (the two) have met."

Han said that after getting married, he has been taking care of Liu's paralyzed father at home and has not gone out to work. Because the two had no children, they tried to do IVF. Han also provided reporters with a video of the treatment in the hospital during the IVF and the medical records.

Han said that what she didn't expect was that Liu had lived with a woman named Gao for a long time and did not go to work on the grounds of "going to Xi'an to see the children", "(Gao) is Liu's ex-wife." ”

According to the WeChat chat records provided by Han, Liu repeatedly contacted a user named "Polar Aquatic Creatures" on WeChat, and Han said that the WeChat account was Liu's ex-wife Gao. There are also dialogues in WeChat chat records, such as "Come in and knock on the door, let people say that they are divorced (married) and return a house", "The house is booked, report my name, and it cannot be canceled".

Han said that after discovering the relevant chat records, he and Liu had quarrels many times. The reporter asked him if there was any evidence that Liu had "not been to work for a long time", but the other party did not show it.

On August 10 last year, Liu filed a lawsuit with the local people's court for divorce on the grounds that "(Han) has a strong personality and a short temper, cannot treat family affairs correctly, and prevents Liu from taking care of his daughter." Whenever he gets angry, he will lose his temper and insult the elderly, go to the unit to make noise, and cannot communicate. The two failed to establish a true relationship as husband and wife...... The contradictions between husband and wife have become irreconcilable".

According to the relevant civil judgment provided by Han, the Dingbian County People's Court ruled that the two were not allowed to divorce.

Han said that Liu appealed later, and the verdict of the second instance has not yet been announced; She used her lawyer to help find evidence that Liu and his ex-wife Gao lived together, and finally found through surveillance video that the two had been in and out of a community in Xi'an City many times.

On May 7, a Red Star News reporter called Liu to ask if his wife's report that she "cheated in marriage and did not go to work for a long time" was true, Liu said: "My daughter is going to school in Xi'an, and I still have a mistake to see her?" I didn't see her (Han's) reporting materials, and I don't know the specifics, since she reported it, then let the Commission for Discipline Inspection investigate. Subsequently, the Red Star News reporter called Gao, and after identifying himself, the other party said that he "couldn't hear clearly", and then hung up the phone, and when the reporter tried to call again, it showed that his mobile phone had been turned off.

On the same day, the Red Star News reporter called the relevant person in charge of the Dingbian County Commission for Discipline Inspection, and the other party said that he had received the relevant report materials and was being handled according to the procedures, and the specific situation involved the principle of confidentiality in handling the case, which was inconvenient to disclose.

Netizens have something to say

Netizens said: Blame the ex-wife for not caring about the family, and the second marriage found a Gu family to help him take care of the family. I went to find my ex-wife again. The abacus is really loud.

Netizens said: At first glance, it is the fault of Xiao San's broken up happy family.

Netizens said: The temper is so bad, the reason for the divorce and marrying her was because of ???

Netizens said: The case involves two women, a man and two children, to be honest, it is very difficult for all five people, and each has its own difficulties. If you can be together, don't leave as much as possible, and once you leave, don't disturb each other as much as possible. Otherwise, don't marry for the second time and be single.

Netizens said: I understand, it turned out that the second-married wife reported her husband and the original partner to go together. The old man and his ex-wife are true love, the third sister still has the means, first turned positive, and now it will be ruined if she can't get it.
