In fact, the counterattack against India that occurred in 1962 was something that should not have happened, or it was the result of India forcibly adding drama to itself.
Because at that time, our "three-year difficult period" had just ended, and at the same time, we did not have any deep hatred with India, but people had to add drama - so why is India like this? In the author's opinion, there are no more than three.
First, it is an inevitable product of the Non-Aligned Movement. After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union competed for hegemony, and India engaged in the non-aligned movement, obviously trying to free up a third force in the bipolar world. And the leading brother of this third force must be India itself.
Unexpectedly, after China won the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, its influence increased greatly. Let India discover: It is not possible to rely on literature alone, and it must be assisted by martial arts. And the best object to show his abundant martial virtue cannot be the hegemony of the United States and the Soviet Union, only New China is the most suitable.
Therefore, after the problems in Sino-Soviet relations, India decided that the opportunity had come. Because India has always believed that New China won the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea because of the Soviet Union behind it.
In other words: adding drama to oneself is the inevitable product of the pursuit of India's great power. The so-called: If the non-aligned operation is booming again, if there is no strength to support it, it will be in vain - no one will follow you.
Second: the projection of the sun never sets. India gained its independence from the British, who had previously claimed to be the empire on which the sun never set. As a result, India believed that it should take over the benefits of Britain in its entirety. That is, I am the projection of the empire on which the sun never sets.
Under this mentality, India swelled up and began to make all kinds of outrageous demands on the mainland, which was naturally rejected by our side with restraint. This has made India even more inflated, mistaking our goodwill and restraint for weakness and fear.
This phenomenon is still evident in India today, which has led to many people saying that India is "a foodie and a fun-loving" country, which makes you very annoyed.
Third, the need for the double hegemony of the United States and the Soviet Union. The first two are internal causes, and the third is external. Whether it is the United States or the Soviet Union, India needs to play a role in counterbalancing New China.
You must know that the United States and the Soviet Union are big players, you can say that he is bad, but you can't say that people are stupid, and they can see who is a potential and terrible opponent. So they joined hands to support India, making India the "group pet" of the earth, a phenomenon that was the only one in India during the Cold War.
Other countries, such as Japan and European countries, all belong strictly to a certain camp, and no one dares to take a step beyond the thunder pool, otherwise it will be a disaster. Only India, not only dares to jump sideways, but also has the joint support of the United States and the Soviet Union, why? Naturally, they are all looking forward to India's counterbalance to New China.
Understanding the above three points, in fact, it is easy to understand why India wants to "add drama" to itself, both internal and external factors, which led to the outbreak of a counterattack against India in 1962.
After talking about why India wants to "add drama," and talking about the mainland, it is obvious that it is quite well prepared for this war. It can be broadly divided into three levels.
One of them: the time of day. Anyone who has studied the counterattack against India a little will probably be interested in the date of the outbreak, why? Because it coincides with the biggest event on earth that year, the "Cuban Missile Crisis", the timing of the "Cuban Missile Crisis" is highly overlapping.
That is, the United States and the Soviet Union did not dare to blink and stare at each other, and when there was no time for him to care, our counterattack against India began. What is the time of day? It's called!
It is important to know that one of India's confidence comes from the strong support of the United States and the Soviet Union. That is to say, when the United States and the Soviet Union are both in their pockets and playing with mouth cannons, if we start this war, then the United States and the Soviet Union will support India at the first time without any constraints, and achieve their goal of using India to balance or drag down New China.
As a result, now, these two are tied to the "Cuban Missile Crisis", not to mention the counterattack against India, even if aliens invade the earth, they dare not say that they will get out. This is actually Chairman Mao's eloquence, firmly controlling this fleeting "time".
When the United States and the Soviet Union finished resolving the Cuban Missile Crisis, the counterattack war against India also ended, which not only made the United States and the Soviet Union unable to use their strength, but also directly broke India's defense. Nehru didn't care about the "Non-Aligned Movement" anymore, and directly wrote a letter to US President John F. Kennedy asking the United States to intervene with troops.
Unexpectedly, our side announced that the fight was over and the merit was over—we were fighting back in self-defense. Nehru was stunned, and his letter to Kennedy asking for help could no longer be recovered. Sure enough, as soon as its contents were revealed, it immediately caused an uproar: Where is the said Non-Aligned Movement? India, aren't you still hugging your thighs?
Second: geographical advantage. The author has always believed that geographical advantages are a double-edged sword for both China and India, and it is estimated that they can understand this remark as soon as it comes out. The reason why our side won the retreat was that it was constrained by the geographical advantage - logistical supplies could not be guaranteed at all.
As far as India is concerned, the same is true, why the "war of aggression" has become a "war to defend the capital" is simply because the peak of our army has already been directed at the capital of India.
In fact, this is also a major reason why India has been so stubborn for a long time - including fighting with Pakistan. If you don't believe me, you can look at the map, the capital of India, how close it is to us and Pakistan, not much more about this.
Third: people. Who commanded the counterattack against India? There are two levels of this.
Command of the campaign - Marshal Liu Bocheng, who was personally appointed by Chairman Mao, served as the commander-in-chief, and the headquarters was located in Kunming, known as "Liu Zhi".
Combat command - the whole line is divided into three commands. The commander of the eastern section was Major General Ding Sheng, known as "Ding Zhi". The front-line commander was Lieutenant General Zhang Guohua, known as the "front finger". The Xinjiang Military Region has set up a third command center.
That is, the commander-in-chief of the counterattack against India is our Marshal Liu Bocheng. In other words, those three commands were all under the command of Marshal Liu Bocheng's "Liu Zhi".
For example, it has been disclosed that in the counterattack against India, the most critical "Battle of Xishankou" is the battle plan proposed by Liu Bocheng: the Indian army has a long head and tail, a copper head, a tin tail, a tight back, and a loose belly, and our combat plan is: beheading, tail cutting, back blowing, and disembowelment.
At the same time, before the start of the war, Liu Bocheng, who had not appeared for a long time, personally instructed Lieutenant General Zhang Guohua, the "former commander", and put forward his three suggestions, which are as follows.
First: when fighting, you must fight with the momentum of a lion fighting a rooster - you must be ruthless.
Second, in response to the belief of some comrades that as long as the enemy is interspersed and surrounded, it will be victory, Liu Bo admitted that he was wrong. He believes that whether it is interspersed, detoured, divided, or encircled, it is only a form of maneuver, and it is by no means victory itself. Therefore, it is necessary to be prepared to carry out a strong attack, fight a tough battle, gnaw hard bones -- correct erroneous concepts.
Third, it is necessary to concentrate superior forces to first destroy the enemy's vital points, command centers, and major military groups, and avoid dispersing forces -- set specific tactical requirements!
After Zhang Guohua listened to it, he was very emotional at that time, and said: Jiang is still old and spicy! All of them were recognized, and they were put into the ensuing battle, and sure enough, they won a great victory in one fell swoop.
What is human? That's the people! Whether it is the old commander, the general, and our loveliest and bravest warriors, they all work together and twist into a rope.
Why was it that with only three soldiers, we were able to chase down more than 200 Indian troops, and make a bold statement: The enemy not only did not surrender, but dared to fire back - this is the answer!
