Ardbeg Distillery was founded in 1815 on the Isle of Islay. On May 7, 2024, Yabel officially announced the release of the Millennium Bug series, and introduced that this is a whisky series that lasts for 5 years. The first wine in the series, Vintage Y2K Aged 23 Years (Y23), was also released, distilled in 2000, matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, bottled in 2023, 23 years old, 46% ABV by volume and 700ml.

Smell:
The nose is scented with sweet vanilla and a subtle and delicate smoky nose that captures the liveliness of lemon balm, flaxseed oil and candied walnuts. After adding water, the aroma becomes more intense, followed by the appearance of heather nectar, wood tar and tarpaulin;
Tasting:
The palate is like a pulsating sorbet, shimmering lightly on the tongue, and at first taste it is intensely sweet, with notes of fennel, toffee, digestive biscuits, mint, menthol, tar and coffee grounds, followed by peaty notes like soot and tar;
Olin:
Long and persistent, it reveals medicinal flavours and hints of lollipops, bitter orange peel and oak tannins.
Y23 will be the first to go on sale in Europe from June 18, 2024, followed by the UK in July 2024, and will be available in more select retail markets around the world, with an official suggested retail price of £670, which is about 6,000 yuan at the current exchange rate.
