Since 2020, Hengshan District of Yulin City has carried out active exploration and research on the basis of mechanized hole seeding technology of plastic film mulching, and in 2023, the integrated technology of dry farming and water-saving agriculture with full film and deep trench moisture exploration and dryland farming technology as the core will be integrated and popularized. The technology is a comprehensive mechanized production technology with mechanical mulching and mechanical seeding as the main technology, supporting mechanical fertilization, mechanical ditching, mechanical suppression and other operations. Its core is to be able to take out the 10-15cm surface dry soil and bring it to the outside of the film, so that the seeds can fall on the wet moisture of the sowing furrow, which fundamentally solves the problem of low seedling emergence rate and low uniformity of seedlings, and its yield and efficiency increase are very obvious compared with traditional manual farming.

This technology has the characteristics of "three exemptions and one increase", the so-called "three exemptions" is to plant millet sorghum after the precision sowing is free seedlings, and then the whole film is taken to cover the free grass, the third free is free of fertilization, a slow release fertilizer, for the whole growth period to use, "one increase", is to increase the yield, take millet and sorghum as an example, the average yield increase is more than doubled. It is understood that from 2023, a total of 10,000 acres of water-saving integrated technology for dry farming will be promoted in the whole region, and 5,000 acres will be driven by radiation. Through the promotion of this integrated technology, the average yield of sorghum in the demonstration area increased by 98kg/mu and the income increased by 294 yuan/mu. The average yield of millet increased by 77kg/mu, and the income increased by 462 yuan/mu. The average yield of corn increased by 206kg/mu, and the income increased by 233.2 yuan/mu. There were 2,712 beneficiary farmers, with an average income increase of 1,352 yuan. Farmers were 98.7% satisfied with the technical services. Since the beginning of this year, the district party committee and government have strived for 750,000 yuan of municipal funds for dry farming water-saving integrated technology, 1.2 million yuan for district-level support, 175 tons of chemical fertilizers, 80 tons of thickened silver-gray two-color mulch, and 5,000 acres of dry farming water-saving integrated technology have been promoted around corn, millet, sorghum and other crops, and 20,000 acres have been driven by radiation, and the average income per mu is expected to increase by more than 300 yuan.
