In recent years, whether it is the South China Sea issue or the Taiwan Strait issue, the United States has been instigating and uniting its allies to stir up trouble in these directions, and has even reversed black and white after the fact, accusing China of "unreasonable" response measures in accordance with the law, which is quite infuriating.
For example, Australia has just followed the United States to send warships to the South China Sea and held a four-nation joint military "patrol" with the Philippines, Japan and other countries. As tensions in the South China Sea have intensified due to the Philippines' provocations, it is self-evident who the so-called four-nation joint military "patrol" led by the United States in the South China Sea is aimed at. Not only that, but the Australian side has recently begun to make relevant moves, publicly condemning China for a sea flight incident in the direction of the Yellow Sea, and claiming that China's behavior is unsafe and completely unacceptable to Australia.
According to the French media on May 6, a helicopter belonging to the Australian Navy was suddenly "approached" by a Chinese military plane and "released flares" when it flew near the relevant waters of the Yellow Sea a few days ago, forcing the Australian helicopter pilot to take urgent evasive actions to avoid accidents.
In another statement, Australian Defense Minister Marles also claimed that the Chinese Air Force plane had been flying in front of the Australian helicopter at that time, and when it was less than 300 meters away recently, the Chinese military plane suddenly "released" flares, causing the Australian helicopter to take emergency evasion and was almost "hit" by the flares. Australia also claims that if an Australian helicopter is "hit" by a flare, then the consequences will be very serious.
The Australian Department of Defence later said that the incident occurred on May 4, when the Australian helicopter was on a so-called "United Nations mission" in the Yellow Sea, that is, to monitor North Korea, but was suddenly "intercepted" by PLA Air Force military aircraft. Australia claims that China's actions "caused" this very serious incident and is unacceptable to Australia.
However, Australia has not continued to release more details, which makes it difficult to believe Australia's one-sided statement. You say that your military plane used to monitor the DPRK, so I have to believe it? Maybe the real target is China, and who dares to guarantee that such a situation will not happen?
More importantly, China has always been a peace-loving country, and the Chinese Air Force's fighter planes will not casually threaten the normal flight safety of other countries' fighter planes; unless these planes take the initiative to provoke and have the undesirable intention of violating the mainland's territorial airspace and other sovereignty, the Chinese Air Force will stop at all means to intercept and drive them away, so as to defend the mainland's sovereignty from being violated.
Therefore, under the situation of the undercurrent of the situation around the mainland, it is very necessary and reasonable for China to take measures against all external forces that attempt to pose a threat to the security of the mainland.
Of course, the Australian side claimed that "Chinese military aircraft released flares into Australian helicopters", and there is no evidence to confirm this incident so far, and the authenticity of this incident is very low. It is very likely that this is not a fiction in the first place, so we must keep our eyes open and not be misled by the words of external forces.
Seeing this, I have to remind me that at the end of last year, the Australian side also accused a Chinese destroyer of using sonar pulses to "injure an Australian diver", and encouraged the media to hype up in the field of international public opinion.
At that time, there were accusations from the Australian side, but there was no evidence to hold up. First, the Australian side claimed at the time that Chinese sonar had caused the injuries to its crew, but the actual injuries were never made public. Second, Australia did not mention the specific location of the sea area where the incident occurred at that time, which obviously had unwarranted characteristics.
How can people believe that they only claim that the divers were injured in the waters near China in one or two sentences, and unilaterally accuse China of causing the damage in just one or two sentences?
At that time, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs made it quite clear, that is, the PLA has always been strictly disciplined, and it has always carried out professional operations in accordance with international law and international practice in the performance of its tasks, and there is no possibility of deliberately causing accidents. At the same time, the Chinese side also made clear its attitude at that time, that is, we advised any force to stop provoking trouble at China's doorstep.
The same is true in this incident, where Australia claimed that Chinese military aircraft fired flares at Australian helicopters, but did not disclose a more specific location, as well as the type of Chinese military aircraft at the time, the time of the encounter between the two sides, and so on. Therefore, in the author's opinion, this incident is more like a deliberate fabrication by the Australian side in an attempt to maliciously hype up and smear China.
Of course, in the current international environment, especially when China-Australia relations are still volatile, China very much hopes to work with Australia to safeguard the improvement and development of China-Australia relations, and advises Australia to recognize this as soon as possible. Continuing to provoke and smear China will not only do Australia no good, but may also make Australia pay the price.
