The Palestinian-Israeli war has now entered its final stage. According to Israel's arrangement, an attack on the city of Rafah, the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip, would eliminate the last four of Hamas's five combat battalions.
In a large-scale attack on 7 October last year, Hamas took more than 200 Israeli and foreign hostages, with the aim of exchanging hostages for a "ceasefire" in the event of unfavourable future hostilities. In the past six months, Hamas and Israel have ceased fire for several days and carried out humanitarian relief through the exchange of hostages, but Israel has never promised a permanent ceasefire to stop the war, but wants to fight this war to the end, eliminate Hamas, and carry out genocide against Palestinians in the process.

It is inconceivable that such a brutal plan will take place in the 21st century. As murderous as the United States, although it secretly approves of and supports this plan, it cannot but pretend to prevent it from happening. Recently, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken went to mediate for the seventh time, hoping to exchange hostages for a ceasefire, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told him very shamelessly: "We are interested in reaching an agreement, and at the same time we are determined to overthrow Hamas." The Israeli Prime Minister's Office also told the media that even if a hostage exchange agreement was reached with Hamas, it did not mean that an attack on Rafah could be avoided.
In the face of Israel's "unwaveringness", Blinken has no choice but to hypothetically say that the United States cannot and will not support Israel's major military operation in Rafah without an effective plan to ensure that civilians are not harmed.
As a matter of fact, Israel does not care at all whether the military action against Rafah will be supported by the United States, and it is completely capable of "handling it." What's more, Israel is very clear that the Biden administration's "ensuring that civilians are not harmed" and "ceasefire peace talks" are all nonsense and are all for the international community.
