On April 28, the laboratory identified that the ant insects intercepted by Yangzhou Customs, which belongs to Nanjing Customs, were mountain pine bowback ants, which belonged to alien species.
Previously, when Yangzhou Customs officers carried out the unpacking inspection of imported logs, they found that there were a large number of signs of live insect activity in the box. Customs officers immediately sealed the door of the container, sealed off the relevant area, required the owner of the cargo to carry out pest control treatment, and supervised the pesticide treatment process.
