AutoNavi Infrared is currently the domestic infrared sensor company with the highest market value, with infrared focal plane detector chips, infrared thermal imaging products, integrated optoelectronic systems and complete equipment systems, non-lethal ammunition and information-based ammunition as its main business.
The subsidiary, Gaoxin Technology, is mainly responsible for uncooled and cooled infrared detectors, movement modules and application solutions, and operates three batch production lines, including 8-inch 0.11μm vanadium oxide uncooled infrared detector, 8-inch 0.5μm mercury cadmium tellurium refrigerated infrared detector, and 8-inch 0.5μm Class II superlattice cooled infrared detector. As a subsidiary of security giant Hikvision, Hikmicro has been included in the most stringent "Entity List" by the United States as early as December 17, 2021, with the reason for including it: supporting China's military modernization.
Hikvision has an 8-inch MEMS infrared detector chip production line, and has an industry-leading integrated circuit design, MEMS design, MEMS/packaging process development, application product development and sales service team. It has an annual output of 30,000 sensor wafers and more than 10 million mass production capacities of various vision sensors.
The infrared detector is the core of the infrared system, which is a sensor that uses the physical effect of infrared radiation and the interaction between the material to detect infrared radiation, and in most cases, the electrical effect presented by this interaction.

What are the implications for companies to be included in the SDN list, and what is the difference between the various US sanctions lists?
So far, China's three major infrared sensor chip companies have been included in the sanctions list by relevant US departments. Among them, Hikvision Micro Shadow is the Entity List, and High-Chip Technology and Arrow Optoelectronics are the SDN List.

SDN lists typically target individuals, companies, groups, aircraft, and ships associated with a particular country or organization. These entities are believed to have engaged in activities that threaten or harm U.S. foreign policy or national security objectives.
The U.S. government imposes economic and financial sanctions on these individuals or entities by placing them on the SDN list. In addition, non-U.S. persons may also be subject to secondary U.S. sanctions when they engage in significant transactions with entities on the SDN list. Currently, hundreds of entities and individuals in Chinese mainland are included in the SDN list.
Therefore, the immediate impact of inclusion in the SDN list is to economically prohibit U.S. persons and U.S. companies from transacting with SDN entities. The most hegemonic thing is that non-US persons who conduct major transactions with entities on the SDN list will also be subject to secondary sanctions from the United States!
On April 19, Dahua sold its wholly-owned subsidiary in the United States, completely withdrawing from the U.S. market, and in October 2019, 28 Chinese companies including Dahua and Hikvision and Hytera were included in the entity list. Subsequently, in 2021, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) banned the sale of new devices under the Safety Equipment Act. In 2022, the U.S. Department of Defense will include Dahua shares in the list of "military-related". 26! What other domestic sensor companies have been sanctioned?
In fact, sensors as a sensitive high-tech field, in recent years, 32 domestic sensor entities have been included in various sanctions lists by the United States.
Among them, 5 entities were finally removed, namely: OFILM, Gaohua Technology, Beijing Puke Measurement and Control, Beijing Shiweitong Technology, Radio and Television Metrology and Testing (Beijing), and the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Biological Sensing and Metrology of Hunan University.
At present, there are still 26 sensor entities in the various sanctions lists of the United States that have been "blacklisted" by the United States, and most of them are in the entity list.
