The lack of breast milk is a pain in the hearts of many breastfeeding mothers.
I know that breast milk is so good, but the amount is not enough, and I must use milk powder to make up.
If you want to chase milk, the key is to do the following 5 points:
Point 1: Suck and feed frequently
Remember what we said about the mechanism of lactation?
When the baby sucks on the mother's nipple and areola, the mother can produce prolactin and oxytocin. Prolactin produces milk, while oxytocin makes milk jet, both of which are indispensable.
The more frequent the sucking and the more stimulation, the more milk is produced.
The specific number of feedings needs to be determined according to the baby's needs, as long as he/she wants, we feed, frequent stimulation, can make the milk production higher.
Perhaps, we may encounter the separation of mother and child, or the baby is unwilling to suck the nipple/the mother's nipple is cracked, at this time, please also remember that positive and frequent stimulation can have more milk, so we can express the milk to the baby, and it is OK to choose hand milk or breast pump milk.

Point 2: Be sure to suck effectively
Suck and feed frequently, many mothers do do it, and each feeding consumes 40-60 minutes, but the breast milk still can't catch up, not enough for the baby to eat!
The reason is probably that there is not enough effective sucking time!
When the baby is older, the mother's milk is sufficient, and the glandular duct is thick, it may be enough to suck in 10 minutes unilaterally. However, at a young age, especially during confinement, the effective sucking time of each unilateral breast should be 15 minutes. Sucking milk is a very physical thing for the baby, and the newborn baby is tired after a few minutes of sucking, and is reluctant to suck, which is normal.
If the baby starts crying, adults will bottle feed, which will make the baby less and less willing to suck the mother's nipple, so that the effective sucking time is not enough!
The younger the baby, the more asleep during feeding, be sure to wake up frequently to ensure effective sucking time. Or after feeding, use a breast pump to ensure that the breasts are stimulated for enough time.

Point 3: Mom needs to be in a happy mood
Oxytocin is the hormone that allows milk to eject, and the more oxytocin, the smoother the milk will be produced.
When the mother feels happy, happy, relaxed, and happy, the body will secrete oxytocin to make the milk squirt.
Therefore, the mother must be in a good mood, the milk production will be smoother, and the amount of breast milk will be more.

Point 4: Make a good meal match
What you eat has an impact on the yield and quality of breast milk, and whether you eat well or not will also directly affect the mother's physical recovery shortly after giving birth.
When breastfeeding, be sure to drink enough water. About 88% of milk is water. Therefore, it is recommended to drink 2.5L of water per day, and it is feasible to choose plain water and soda.
Meat, especially lean meat, should also be eaten enough, and supplementing breast milk with sufficient protein will be more qualitative and quantitative.
Some foods can indeed help lactation, such as pig's trotters, soybeans, hoof tendons, crucian carp, and of course, boiling some millet porridge and peanut porridge is also helpful. Point 5: Dredging the massage in time
The dredging and stimulation of the breast also has a certain effect on milk chasing.
Especially during breastfeeding, there will always be milk blockage, and when the milk is blocked, the milk production will be affected and it will be painful. If left untreated, mastitis can also develop.
If there is a blockage of milk, the baby can't suck through, and the breast pump can't suck through, you can ask the lactator to help dredge and empty to stimulate lactation.
By doing the above 5 points, you can increase the amount of milk in your mother. Help "cheese" can also become "cow".
