The newly named "MOONSHINE", with hull number YN204, is the sixth yacht in the Martinique series in Moonen's successful fast-displacement steel-hull design. Moonen worked closely with Neal Esterly from Fraser, who acted as the owner's broker representative.

There is a fascinating story behind the birth of the "MOONSHINE". When owners approached Moonen Yachts to build their dream boat, their goal was clear: they wanted to find a shipyard that offered the best in both size range and yacht type, creating a yacht with excellent performance and the ability to sail to a wider range of seas. In order to meet the needs of the owner, Moonen Yachts worked closely with Fraser's Neal Esterly to complete the customization of the yacht.

"The choice of size was crucial," explains Neal Esterly, "and the owner wanted the yacht to be moored in a specific location, which was limited in length to 119 feet. Therefore, we have adjusted the length of the yacht according to their needs. ”

John Bechtold, Project Manager at Moonen Yachts, thanked the owners for their close cooperation: "It was a real honour and pleasure to work with the owner, staff and construction team to develop and build the MOONSHINE. They asked us from the very beginning to make improvements to the yacht according to their tastes and intended use, which is undoubtedly a testament to our success. ”

The owner worked with the Dutch Hollander Yacht Design team to create a rich and distinctive interior design for the MOONSHINE. The main living room brings in plenty of light with full-height windows and new window detailing, while thresholdless sliding doors create a natural transition between indoors and outdoors. In addition, the award-winning Martinique collection exterior design, designed by Dutch designer René van der Velden, not only allows natural light to flood in, providing spectacular outdoor views, but also creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor.

IT IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT THE YACHT "MOONSHINE" HAS NO LESS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. Its steel-aluminium construction, combined with the fast-displacement design, allows the yacht to reach a top speed of 17 knots. This yacht not only reaches new heights in comfort and spaciousness, but also impresses with its quiet stability and internal volume of up to 345 gross tonnage.

The yacht is a five-star resort at sea, with five spacious and comfortable cabins carefully arranged to accommodate up to 12 guests, while also providing a welcoming abode for a crew of seven. In terms of performance, the yacht is powered by two Caterpillar engines and can reach a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a top speed of 17 knots.

The launch of the MOONSHINE comes on the heels of the launch earlier this year of the lumièRE, the fifth vessel in Moonen's premium semi-custom Martinique series. The construction of a seventh Martinique yacht, the 37.4 m (122 ft) long YN205, is also in full swing at Moonen Yachts, and her future is also exciting.
