The sihe moire comes from the first-class cultural relics in the collection of the Suzhou Silk Museum - the brown sihe moire dark satin white pheasant weaving blouse, which is the dress of the Ming Dynasty. Moire is one of the popular ornaments of Ming Dynasty fabrics.
The Ming Dynasty moire consisted of a cloud head and a cloud tail, and the cloud head was composed of four curly flowers, called "Sihe". There are stretched tails around the cloud head. Moire can be decorated in a variety of ways, either alone or in combination with other patterns. The cloud tail can also be connected with other moire patterns to form a combination effect of "connecting clouds". In ancient times, clouds were considered to be mascots that could communicate with heaven, earth, people, and self, and were endowed with beautiful meanings such as festivity, peace, and wishfulness.
