My hometown is in Miyaro. On the map of China, Miyaro is only a little the size of a comma. However, it occupies a large space in my heart because it is my hometown.
"Miyaluo" is a transliteration of Tibetan, which means "playful dam". It is also said that "Miyaluo" means black earth in Tibetan. When I flipped through the "Gazetteer of Lixian", I learned that the original name of Miyaluo was "Golke", which means the place where the jar is made. Legend has it that a long time ago, the first Han people who came here burned jars here, hence the name. According to the local 90-year-old Tibetan grandmother who is called "Fu Ma", "Before the liberation, there was no road in Miyaluo, only a sheep intestine trail connected to the Zagu Brain in Li County, and many merchants were hacked to death by robbers and thrown into the river when they crossed the lion flat on this sheep intestine trail. Shishiping used to be called Wangxiangtai, because of the high mountain and dangerous roads, even if the robbed people were not killed, they were easy to be starved to death or frozen to death, so they had to look at their hometown there and go away with tears. At the beginning, there were only dozens of Tibetan families living in Miyaluo, with only octagonal towers and gall pole beams. ”
Miyaluo is located in Gaoyuan County, northwest of Sichuan, 61 kilometers away from the county seat, 261 kilometers away from the provincial capital Chengdu, and 134 kilometers away from the state capital Malkang.
In 1951, when the northwest region of Sichuan had just been liberated, the party and the state attached great importance to the development of transportation in minority areas. Chairman Mao issued a call for "in order to help brothers of all nationalities, not afraid of difficulties, and work hard to build roads", so the road construction army set out from Chengdu through Dujiangyan-Wenchuan-Lixian County, and began a huge road construction. Set up a tent in this deep mountain valley, and for a time the cannon roared, the mountain was blown up, the iron pickaxe was waved, and the road was built to Miyaluo. The road under your feet is still stretching step by step, crossing the Partridge Mountain and advancing towards the Shujing Temple. After the highway was opened, a team of thousands of lumberjacks from the West Sichuan Forestry Bureau, which had been cutting down the forest, drove into Miyaluo, which began to become lively, and gradually formed a market town, with shops, hotels, photo studios, canteens, stations, hospitals, and schools being built one after another.
In October 1955, the 506-kilometer-long Chengdu (Du) A (Dam) Highway was opened to traffic. In that year, the town of Miyaro was founded.
In the second year after the opening of the car, at the age of only half a year, I took a caravan (truck) from Jintang County in the Chengdu Plain to Miyaluo, a plateau town at an altitude of 2,700 meters, in the arms of my mother.
It was summer when I came to Miyaluo, and my mother took me to the monument to the martyrs of the road to take a picture. When I grew up, I learned that on July 1, 1953, when the Miyaluo Octagonal Diao Road was being built, due to a landslide, there was a loud bang, and eight soldiers of the 6th Company of the 24th Regiment of the Chinese People's Liberation Army who were building the road died honorably, and 11 people were seriously injured at that time......
The martyrs have been buried here for more than half a century, and whenever I pass by Miyaro and see the statue of the road builder standing on the monument with a cross pick in hand from the car window, my heart is infinitely emotional...... Unstoppable tears will leach out of your eyes.
I grew up drinking water from the Laisu River in Miyaro. The meandering Laisu River originates at the southern foot of Partridge Mountain, lapping the rocks all the way, blooming with emerald waves, flowing into the Zagunao River and flowing into the Minjiang River......
Miyaluo's mountains, rivers, plants and trees are treasured in my growing years, and I have laughed and cried emotionally in her arms. I've been away from her for more than 40 years, and I've been a loyal viewer of her, and her appearance has been imprinted in my heart for as long as I can remember. At that time, the small town of Miyaro was no more than 200 meters long, and the streets were lined with blue and white wooden houses, one shop for another, and the wooden roofs were covered with pine strips and pressed with dense stones. In the past, the highway street in my hometown was a dirt road with potholes, mud on rainy days, and clouds of dust on sunny days. If there is a strong wind, the yellow sand is full of yellow sand, and people cough repeatedly, and they dare not open their eyes wide.
Reform and opening up, the party's policy of enriching the people warms people's hearts. In today's Miyaro, the wooden houses of yesteryear are long gone, and the town has grown from 200 meters long to 2,000 meters long. A wide asphalt road runs through the town, lined with tall buildings. Since 1995, Miyaluo was identified as a provincial scenic spot by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and hotels, restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops, and Tibetan folk customs villages abound, welcoming guests who watch the red leaves and play in the hot springs from afar.
With the deepening of reform and opening up, the economic outlook of the hometown has undergone earth-shaking changes, and the pockets of the local people have gradually swelled. Almost every family here has bought a motorcycle, and some have also bought farm vehicles and cars. It used to take two and a half hours to get from Miyaro to the county seat, only 60 kilometers, but now it only takes 40 minutes. Especially after Miyaluo became an official member of China's biosphere reserve in 1998, with the vigorous development of tourism, the Lixian County Party Committee and government worked hard to create the "Miyaluo" card. It can be said that "Miaro" has been endowed with rich and diverse connotations. The Miyaluo Red Leaves Scenic Area includes natural and cultural landscapes such as Xuecheng Ancient Town, Taoping Qiang Village, Gurgou Hot Spring, Bipenggou Original Ecology, Octagonal Diao Folk Customs, and Partridge Mountain Ski Resort. Through publicity, "Miyaluo" has formed a brand and enjoys a certain reputation inside and outside the province.
Walking on the streets of Chengdu, you can see some tourism projects launched by hotels and restaurants, including Jiuzhai Huanglong seven-day tour and Miyaluo red leaves two-day tour. Whenever I see the word "Miyaluo", a warm current wells up in my heart, and I didn't expect my hometown to become a good eco-tourism park. I have witnessed the changes in the economy of my hometown and experienced the changes in the roads in my hometown. The great changes in the hometown highway are only a microcosm of the achievements of our country's reform and opening up over the past 40 years, and our road tomorrow will be better.
