Recently, the State Administration of Organs and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly released the list of green and low-carbon public institutions in China for 2024-2026.
In September 2023, the State Administration of Organs and the National Development and Reform Commission issued the Notice on Carrying out the Selection of Green and Low-Carbon Public Institutions (Guoguan Energy Conservation [2023] No. 240), focusing on the promotion and application of green and low-carbon technologies, focusing on five technical directions, including electrification of energy-using systems, renewable energy applications, green and low-carbon building construction, intelligent management of building energy, and green transformation of data centers. In accordance with the principle of "focusing on key points, adapting measures to local conditions, and best-in-class", 251 units were finally determined to be green and low-carbon public institutions after expert review, on-site verification, online publicity and other procedures, and a total of 7 units in Guangdong Province were selected, including Guangzhou Institute of Applied Science and Technology, and only 2 universities won this honor.
