The young women bravely climb the peak of skills

"Young people should have goals in their studies, and if the goals are clear, they should work hard in a down-to-earth manner. ”

Reviewing theoretical knowledge, practicing experimental skills, learning professional English...... during the "May Day" holiday, Lu Jingyi, a student of Henan Chemical Technician College, took training courses one after another. "There are only a little more than four months to go until the 47th WorldSkills Competition, and I have to prepare hard to get good results," she said. ”

The WorldSkills Competition is the highest level of the world's vocational skills competition, known as the "WorldSkills Olympiad". The 47th WorldSkills Competition will be held in Lyon, France, in September this year. At the beginning of last month, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security announced the list of Chinese players in the 47th WorldSkills Competition, 68 players will represent China in 59 competitions, and Lu Jingyi became a participant in the chemical laboratory technology project of the Chinese national team with the first place in the country.

He Panke, the head of the coaching team of the 47th WorldSkills Competition Chemical Laboratory Technology Project, introduced that in the past two months, Lu Jingyi's training content has mainly been to improve theoretical knowledge, oral English communication and professional English expression, and at the same time to simulate the competition process and improve the ability to analyze problems.

Lu Jingyi, 19 years old this year, is studying in the 2023 chemical preparatory technician class of Henan Chemical Technician College. Due to her excellent grades, quick thinking, quick response, and strong learning ability after entering the school, she successfully passed the selection and entered the craftsman class and came to the training base with more professional equipment to study. After entering the training base, she quickly adapted to the intense training life of the chemical laboratory, constantly surpassed herself, and won the championship in the second vocational skills competition in Henan Province and the winning award in the second national skills competition.

The skills competition is not only a training ground, but also a vane for talent training. With enthusiasm and positive action, Lu Jingyi showed the tenacious will of a young skilled talent to climb the peak of skills. She said that the chemistry lab technical project was difficult and she encountered numerous setbacks during the training process, but she never lost heart, believing that if she thought more and practiced more, she could bring better results.

The role models around her also inspire her to move forward. In 2019, senior He Jiangtao won the bronze medal in the industrial control project at the 45th WorldSkills Competition, and in 2022, senior sister Jiang Yuhe won the gold medal in the chemical laboratory technology project in the special competition of the 2022 WorldSkills Competition, achieving a breakthrough of "zero" in the gold medal of the project in the mainland.

"I used to think that WorldSkills was far away from me, but now that I'm a WorldSkills competitor, I'm going to compete against the best players from all over the world. Lu Jingyi said, "Young people should have goals in their studies, and if the goals are clear, they should work hard in a down-to-earth manner." ”

Three hundred and sixty lines, the line is the champion. Day after day of perseverance, hard training, and innovation can create skilled technical experts, and young players such as Lu Jingyi can see the spirit of craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. Come on, Lu Jingyi!

"Eagle Class" flies out of "Golden Phoenix"

"In addition to striving to be the first in the competition, my biggest expectation is to bring the young students of the school well and climb the peak of skills with them. ”

- Li Zhihuai

Dressed in gray-blue protective clothing, leaning forward slightly, skillfully operating pneumatic tools, the sound of electric drills and welding sounded one after another...... In late April, Li Zhihuai walked into the China training base of the WorldSkills Competition body repair project in Zhengzhou Traffic Technician College, and was training intensively for the 47th WorldSkills Competition, which will be held in September this year.

Li Zhihuai, 21 years old from her hometown of Nanyang Sheqi County, is already a teacher at Zhengzhou Traffic Technician College, although he looks childish. Five years ago, he planned to go out to work, but he came to Zhengzhou Traffic Technician College by chance, and after learning about the majors set up by the school, he decided to study body repair here. "At that time, the idea was very simple, that is, I wanted to have a skill and have a bowl of rice to eat in the future. Li Zhihuai said.

From operating hand tools to pneumatic tools, and then to real car disassembly, under the guidance of Mr. Feng Peiyuan, who has achieved good results in a number of skills competitions, Li Zhihuai quickly emerged, and his skills increased sharply.

To repair the body, it is necessary for the contestants to repair the car damaged for various reasons to the stage where it can be repainted, and welding, cutting, grinding, shaping, and gluing all require precise skills. As a WorldSkills competition, its passing standards are more stringent. "All the accuracy control has to be within ±1 millimeter. Li Zhihuai introduced that for this competition, he has been preparing for more than 2 years, training 7 days a week, at least 7 hours a day. Physical training is also indispensable - basic physical training every morning, and intensive physical training every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, Li Zhihuai is never absent.

Once, Li Zhihuai also had "inner demons". In one competition, he completed the previous process early, but he did not dare to start welding due to lack of self-confidence, "a flick of the wrist may weld through", and finally lost the game. After coming back, he has been reflecting on the solution, "There is no other way except to practice a lot and hard, and if you don't practice for a while, your hand will be dull and you will lose your self-confidence." ”

Since then, Li Zhihuai has devoted himself more to training, and it has become a common thing to practice during the winter and summer vacations, and he often trains until the early hours of the morning before major competitions. The hard work paid off, and at the second National Skills Competition held in 2023, he won the silver medal in the body repair project.

Talking about his future life plan, Li Zhihuai said: "In addition to striving to be the first in the competition, my biggest expectation is to bring the young students of the school well and climb the peak of skills with them." He was a student of the school's body repair program "Eagle Class", and he also teaches 8 students of the current "Eagle Class".

According to the relevant person in charge of Zhengzhou Traffic Technician College, the college attaches great importance to professional construction, and takes the "Young Eagle Plan" as the starting point to select outstanding players to participate in various professional competitions at all levels and achieve excellent results, so as to contribute to the construction of "everyone holds a certificate and skills in Henan".

Skills to serve the country, ordinary and extraordinary. Putting on a protective helmet and gloves, and raising the welding gun, Li Zhihuai began the practical practice of "plugging hole welding" again. Sparks flew and illuminated his confident face.

Rural children ushered in the highlight moment of skill success

"People are different, life paths are different, and by learning practical skills, I have found confidence in life. ”

——Liu Shixing

□ reporter Wang Xiangqian and correspondent Ding Zishi

From not knowing what to do when he graduated from junior high school, to choosing to seriously learn a practical skill, from an ignorant skill "Xiaobai" to a candidate for the 47th WorldSkills Competition, Liu Shixing, a 22-year-old rural boy from Henan, has used his skills to continuously broaden his life path.

On May 1, when most people were immersed in the happiness of the holiday and "walking away" to relax, Liu Shixing and his coach stuck to the training room of Henan Chemical Technician College and seriously practiced the competition module of the industrial control competition. This is a project to build an industrial automation control center, write a human-computer interaction interface for the center, and design an automation control program. Electrician's pliers, screwdrivers, crimping pliers and other tools are in the hands of Liu Shixing, who has to make and connect more than 200 signal wires within one hour to realize the signal transmission of the controller.

Liu Shixing said: "The industrial control competition includes two parts: the installation of industrial control equipment components and the realization of industrial control automation functions. I am very confident in the hardware operation module, and after this period of training, I will race against time to focus on the training programming module. ”

This is the closest he has ever been to WorldSkills since he learned electrical automation. "When I was in junior high school, my grades were not very good, and after graduation, I was confused about whether to continue my studies in high school or to seriously study a practical skill, and this question puzzled me for a long time. Liu Shixing said that after thinking about it, he decided to enter a technical college to learn electrical automation that he was interested in, and also to prepare for future employment.

After entering the campus for a while, Liu Shixing's horizons have broadened a lot. He saw that the school often selects top students from the class to enter the special training of the peiyou class, and creates conditions for them to participate in various skill competitions, so as to promote learning through competitions, spur them to hone their skills and take the road of becoming talents, and he feels that he should also embark on this road. "Whoever has professional skills will be easily favored by enterprises, have a stable job and a good income, and the winning certificate of the skills competition will be a strong proof of skill level. So, in 2019, he began to be interested in industrial control.

Liu Shixing, whose life goals are gradually clear, has continued to win awards through the platform provided by the school and his own efforts. In May 2023, he participated in the Henan Provincial Selection Competition of the Industrial Control Project of the 2nd National Skills Competition, won the gold medal, and successfully advanced to the Henan Provincial Training Team. Before the second National Skills Competition, in order to break through the bottleneck of operation skills and improve the accuracy and proficiency of operation, he "soaked" in the training room from morning to night every day, allowing sweat to soak through the training clothes, and his fingers were grinding off the skin, and finally won the bronze medal in the competition. Now, he has become an alternate participant in the 47th WorldSkills Competition, and he is about to usher in his own highlight moment of skill development.

"Five years ago, with the support and understanding of my family, I chose to learn skills. In the past 5 years, with the encouragement of my teachers and family, I have experienced skills competitions and stood on the podium again and again. Liu Shixing said, "People are different, life paths are also different, through learning practical skills, I found self-confidence in life." ”

Tame the "Detective" of the "Big Man"

"It is very meaningful for more students to master a skill like me and realize the value of life. ”

On a drawing of the hydraulic system of a heavy-duty excavator, the dense lines are like spider webs, and the contestants must accurately find the cause of the fault and complete the repair within 30 minutes, which is also difficult for many machine repair masters, but it is the training routine of Gu Yanzhe, a member of the national training team and a 22-year-old teacher of Kaifeng Technician College, who is preparing for the 47th World Skills Competition heavy vehicle maintenance project.

At the end of April, the reporter saw Gu Yanzhe, who was busy, he was thin, gentle, and clean and refreshing in a red training uniform.

"For the contestants, the strictness of the WorldSkills Competition in terms of personal protection and operation procedures is much higher than the industry standard, and there are hundreds of entry rules, which is different from ordinary car repair work, and it is also the difficulty of the competition. Gu Yanzhe said that taking personal protection as an example, players should wear goggles, earplugs, and labor protection shoes. In addition, parts should not fall to the ground during the competition, the use of tools should be standardized, and even the logical sequence of solving problems has strict requirements.

"On a vehicle circuit diagram, a simple fault often corresponds to more than 10 fault causes, and complex device failures can have more than 20 fault causes. A heavy machine has thousands of parts, electronic circuit diagrams are complex, and some failures can mean that there are geometric causes of failure. Gu Yanzhe introduced that the repairer is like a detective, who needs to follow the clues through the fault phenomenon to eliminate the non-fault causes, accurately find the most likely fault point, and complete the repair.

Gu Yanzhe said that the preparation process is a "double test of intelligence and physical strength". At 8 o'clock in the morning every day, Gu Yanzhe came to the school training base on time, and in the morning he had to check the drawings of various types of vehicles and summarize and analyze the causes of mechanical failures. From the afternoon to eight or nine o'clock in the evening, he had to climb onto the "big" vehicle for practical training, and sometimes in order to overcome a technical problem, he fought until midnight, and many times Gu Yanzhe was so tired that he leaned on the vehicle and "fell asleep standing up", but at 8 o'clock the next morning, he still appeared on the training ground in good spirits.

In September this year, Gu Yanzhe will participate in the 47th WorldSkills Competition Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Project Competition. Gu Yanzhe introduced that the competition test vehicles include excavators, trucks, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, etc., to randomly select the competition models in dozens of brand models around the world, and many foreign models can not find real cars in China, and can only look at vehicle drawings during training. The competition takes an all-English test, which has no other way for him with a thin English foundation, but to gnaw it down little by little like an ant gnawing a bone.

6 years ago, Gu Yanzhe entered the vehicle maintenance major of Kaifeng Technician College, and after 4 years of study and training, his life goals gradually became clear. Two years ago, he became a teacher, which made him firm in his original choice, "It is very meaningful for more students to master a skill like me and realize the value of life." ”

The sweet dreams of a sugar girl

"I will put my dream into the sweetness of sugar, strive forward, stand on a higher podium, and win glory for the country. ”

- Xu Yuqi

□ reporter Li Yunhai

On April 29, when I met Xu Yuqi, she was preparing sugar art works in the production room of Zhengzhou Commercial Technician College. Boiling, refining, shaping, and toning, her hands seemed to be magical, picking up soft sugar, stretching and overlapping it repeatedly...... "Playing" sugar so skillfully, no wonder she can win the title of "National Technical Expert".

20-year-old Xu Yuqi, in his hometown of Yantai, Shandong, his parents opened a bakery. "My childhood was inseparable from the art of sugar," she said. I remember the first birthday present, it was a candy rabbit made by my father, the sugar melted on the tip of the tongue, it was the taste of happiness, and I became obsessed with this sweet art. In 2022, Xu Yuqi was admitted to the culinary major of Zhengzhou Commercial Technician College, and was selected into the Eagle Class by the coach of the sugar art/pastry production project, and officially began to learn sugar art.

Sugar art is a special process in the pastry industry, which is to boil, heat and shape, and combine art to make works with both edible and ornamental properties. But when sugar art works are really made, the process is not so sweet, but full of hardships.

In May 2023, the 2nd National Skills Competition and the 47th WorldSkills Competition Baking, Sugar Art/West Point Project Light Industry Selection Competition was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu. To participate in such a competition, there are more than 100 kinds of raw materials and more than 100 gadgets needed on site. Xu Yuqi trained hard, and once, she practiced from 8 a.m. until the early hours of the next morning. Because of this perseverance, she won the gold medal in the sugar art/pastry project in the selection competition.

Xu Yuqi has a scar about 3 centimeters long on the back of her left hand, which was injured during practice last year. In order to prepare for the second National Skills Competition, Xu Yuqi accidentally scratched the back of her hand when carving a sugar art mold and had more than 10 stitches. After being discharged from the hospital, she rushed to Tianjin to participate in the second National Skills Competition and won the bronze medal in the sugar art/pastry production project.

The coach commented on Xu Yuqi and said that this girl is focused, persistent, able to endure hardships, has a good attitude during the game, and can respond flexibly. When participating in the competition in Tianjin, Xu Yuqi had an accident on the spot: cream, eggs and other materials should be put in the refrigerator, but she accidentally put them in the freezer, and as a result, she froze into ice lumps and could not be used. Xu Yuqi did not panic, she took a new one from the spare ingredients, and put the puree and other ingredients in the oven to melt. Although there was some delay, the race was still completed smoothly.

Today, Xu Yuqi is undergoing rigorous training to participate in the 47th WorldSkills Competition. She said confidently: "I will integrate my dream into the sweetness of sugar, strive forward, stand on a higher podium, and win glory for the country." ”
