In 1961, "The Sentinel under the Neon Light" was officially rehearsed at the Frontline Repertory Troupe of the Nanjing Military Region. With his tall and mighty figure and profound acting talent, Mr. Yuan Yue is recognized as the best choice to play Zhao Dada. Although Mr. Yuan Yue has already received the recognition and support of the organization, he still feels uneasy, fearing that he will not be able to perform the role perfectly.
After countless rehearsals and in-depth exchanges with Luo Dada, Mr. Yuan Yue finally understood Zhao Dada's emotional experience and psychological state, and how to make this role vivid. Once the play was staged, it was an unprecedented success. Premier Zhou Enlai has watched "Sentinel under the Neon Light" 7 times and instructed that it must be put on the big screen, and the lines must not be changed a word.
Therefore, Mr. Yuan Yue is once again honored to be the actor of Zhao Dada in the movie version of "Sentinel under the Neon Light". Although Zhao Dada is not the protagonist of the play, Mr. Yuan Yue's superb acting skills have made him loved by the audience, and even Chairman Mao Zedong has been deeply impressed by his wonderful performance and praised it.

In order to be able to get closer to the goddess in his heart, Yuan Yue gradually narrowed the distance with Cao Yindi on the pretext of learning Yue Opera singing. Their hearts gradually drew closer and eventually came together and tied the knot. However, it is a pity that after the filming of the movie, Yuan Yue had to return to Nanjing with the army, and his beloved wife Cao Yindi, who was far away in Shanghai, had to face the practical dilemma of separation between the two places.

Yuan Yue, a typical straightforward soldier, has formed a bold personality in the experience of the army, and his emotions are often difficult to control, which makes him often misunderstand in communication with his wife. After his retirement, the Shanghai Film Studio Actors' Troupe cared for these highly respected artists and gave them special care. In September 2017, the Shanghai Film Studio Actors Troupe carefully planned the Chung Yeung Festival group worship activities, so that everyone had the honor to participate in the grand event with Yuan Yue and other veteran comrades. Although he, Wang Danfeng, Qin Yi and other seniors were already sitting in wheelchairs at that time, their spirits were strong, their faces were ruddy, and their smiles were as warm as sunshine.
However, unexpectedly, just one year later, Mr. Yuan Yue left us. The old man, who was once widely watched for his role in "Sentinel under the Neon Light", met and fell in love with his wife through this work, and finally chose to follow those comrades who had fought side by side and left.
Now, more than half a century has passed since the release of the movie "Sentinel under the Neon Light", and the leading actors of that year have long been scattered to the ends of the earth.
