The 1st Company of the Northwest Frontier belongs to the 185th Regiment of the 10th Agricultural Division of the Corps, which is close to the Sino-Kazakh border and across the river from Kazakhstan. At the end of the road, there is the station of the "First Company of the Northwest Frontier". "My family lives at the end of the road, and the boundary marker is behind the house. Crops are planted on the border of the river, and cattle and sheep are grazed along the border" (Figure 8). This is a true portrayal of the soldiers in the north of the northwest who have guarded the motherland's border defense for generations.
In the early sixties of the last century, five soldiers from the army came here to defend the border and maintain stability. Later, on this basis, a company of the 185th Regiment was formed, and now there are dozens of families here. It is said that in winter, it is closed by more than 2 feet of snow for half a year. In summer, it is one of the four largest mosquito areas in the world, along with the Amazon River basin in South America. It is hard to imagine how they lived under such harsh living conditions. Especially since there were no roads before.
When inspecting the 185th regiment, he said emotionally: "Don't say how much grain you pay for the country and how much profit you create, as long as you live here, you are the greatest citizen of the republic!"
They have been guarding the border for decades, holding guns in one hand and plows in the other, both guarding and cultivating the land. Forge an impregnable monument of life on the border line in a harsh environment. "I have dedicated my youth to the motherland, my youth to my life, and my children and grandchildren." From the first batch of pioneers to this barren Gobi to the present, there have been three generations of military reclamation people, who have guarded it with their youth and lives.
