On April 30, the second 63200DWT bulk carrier "DARYA NITYA" (under the flag of the Marshall Islands) built by Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding Group for the owner of Chellaram unmoored and left the shipyard wharf, and was delivered to the shipowner for operation and started its maiden voyage.
On April 29, Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding and shipowner Chellaram jointly held a grand naming ceremony for the new ship. Godmother Ms. Preeti Amalia D'Costa, General Manager of Chellaram India Mr. Sheriff D'Costa, Mr. Arun Kumar, Senior Ship Manager of Hong Kong Company, Mr. Yu Haigang, Technical Manager of Shanghai Company, Mr. Wang Lubo, Maintenance Assistant of Shanghai Company, Mr. Debabrata Ghosh, Field Office Manager, Mr. Shi Yonglin, Manager of DNV Jiangyin Station, Mr. Yasusuke Inoue, Mr. Takayuki Kanai, Mr. Zeng Jijia Mr. Tian Ye, Mr. Song Shuming, Deputy General Manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of Yangzi Mitsui, Mr. Yuji Ishimaru, CFO of Yangzi Mitsui, Mr. Mitsuji Tamura, COO, Mr. Chen Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager, and Mr. Shinichi Nakao, Assistant General Manager, as well as representatives of various partners and employees attended the naming and handover ceremony.
The ceremony began with Chellaram's baptism on behalf of Mr. Arun Kumar to celebrate the birth of the new ship.

In the wheelhouse, Mr. Jasraj Singh, Captain and Mr. Parmit Sharma, Chief Engineer, held a traditional Indian blessing ceremony to bless the new ship with the protection of the Hindu gods.
The ship "DARYA NITYA" entered the DNV classification society, and the ship started construction on June 29, 2023, was boarded on the slipway on December 10, 2023, launched on February 28, 2024, and successfully completed the sea trial on April 16, 2023, with a construction period of about 10 months.
On April 29, witnessed by the representatives of all parties, Mr. Sheriff D'Costa, General Manager of Chellaram India, Mr. Song Shuming, Deputy General Manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of Yangzi Mitsui, and Mr. Yuji Ishimaru, Chief Financial Officer of Yangzi Mitsui, signed the "DARYA NITYA" delivery documents on behalf of all parties. I wish her a safe voyage, a full cargo and a global reputation.
