"At that time, I didn't care so much, thinking that it was important to save people, so I went down. At that time, I turned on my phone's flashlight and walked down the muddy slope in the dark. When I saw some people crawling out of the car, I picked up the children and helped the adults to move to a safe place. A total of 6 people were rescued, 3 adults and 3 children, and the youngest was about 3 years old. Liu Yongjin said that because the slope at the collapse site is relatively steep, it is difficult for the trapped people to come up.
Liu Yongjin picked up the child first, and when he rescued the sixth person later, rescuers had already arrived. After explaining the situation to the rescuers, he left the scene and took a detour home.
At 10 a.m. on May 1, firefighters sprayed water with water cannons to prevent the vehicle from burning again.
