Ryūyamayori
Text/Zhang Erba
The mountain that the foolish man removed with a deep hatred
Here and now
Like a tight hoop, it is difficult for me
No one will allow me
Become the next, tireless fool
No one wants to provide a vast land
And the sparsely populated wilderness, accept one
Humiliated, useless barren mountain
O fool, barren mountain, this is the uselessness that torments you
It's tormenting me, too. I have no intention of making one
The tired fool doesn't want to be one
A barren mountain with unpredictable fate. all these years
I was reluctant to study the method of moving mountains day and night
Just to get rid of this uselessness of the world and distress
This bereaved dog-like uselessness. I don't want to
That is, clumsy and useless foolishness
Also, heavy and useless barren mountains
I don't want to see my miserable life
are all in vain, carrying their own hardships

Yugong moving mountains is an ancient myth, in China can be said to be known to the old and young women and children, but also caused countless literati inkers to rise up and write poems, including our great man wrote "Yugong Moves the Mountain", which inspired the Chinese people's spirit of endless war against heaven and earth. With the rapid development of the times and the great rejuvenation of the nation, we can answer with certainty whether we want to be foolish or not, and whether we want this kind of spirit.
The song "Moving Mountains and Sending Mountains" can be said to be very bold, daring to think with the predecessors, and it can also be said to reflect the thinking of the new farmers of the times about their own destiny and how to keep up with the times. There are three obvious aspects, one is stubbornness, the poet uses very cruel words at the beginning, hatred one by one, a big mountain in the way, poverty is over, so to move, children and grandchildren must complete this task that can hardly be completed by manpower, so this word shows the fearlessness of Yugong. In the end, with the help of God, the mountain was moved, and the fate changed? Has poverty changed? The reality of the ancient Chinese peasants for thousands of years tells us that there is none. The second is two useless reflections, the foolish man who relies on brute force is useless, and the second is that the barren mountain is a useless mountain, what should we do? The third is an overall reflection on the unfortunate fate, why countless generations have not been able to change the suffering of poverty? The main purpose of this poem is obvious, that is, to get out of self-isolation, to move towards a new era, to walk in the mountains, to see the world, to learn knowledge, to have wisdom and strength, to become a useful person in the new era and new countryside, to make the barren mountains new and useful, and to make the fate beautiful!
Then the rhythm of this poem is smooth, like the turbulence of the ravine, in one go, without traces of carving and deliberateness, look at its rhythm and charm one by one, no one / allow me / to become the next one by one smooth and smart, very catchy to read.
There is also a poetic aspect, which is particularly interesting. There is poetry in the simplicity, and the truth is told in a near-familiar metaphor, which is like a tight hoop/embarrassment, and I am proof of it one by one. It's very powerful or ruthless in terms of words, hateful, useless, moving mountains, etc., which is quite interesting.
In short, the new farmers should learn the method of moving mountains, not by brute force, but by wisdom, I am afraid that the poet wants to tell us the meaning of the new farmers to change poverty and create a better life.
