Recently, the Daxing Area of the Airport Zone has compiled the "Comprehensive Implementation Plan for the Planning of the Convention and Exhibition Area of the Airport Economic Zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), and the construction of the Convention and Exhibition Area has been put on paper, and a series of blockbuster plans have opened a new chapter for promoting high-level international exchanges.
The "Planning" elaborates on the planning background, functional positioning, scale control, spatial structure, landscape pattern, landscape zoning, traffic planning, geographical name planning and phased implementation of nine major contents, which has important guiding significance for the Daxing area of the airport area to expand the international development path and layout the international exhibition function.
According to the plan, the exhibition area is located in Lixian Town, Daxing District, with a planned construction area of about 476 hectares, and the area is bounded by Chenghe Road in the north, Guangyun Street in the east, Lixian Road in the south, and Hongli Street in the west. The convention and exhibition area will take the exhibition as the core to build an integrated, open, low-carbon, innovative and resilient future convention and exhibition center, improve the exhibition industry chain, lay out the functions of conference, finance, business and design to build an exhibition industry cluster by extending the chain, promote the integrated development of the convention and exhibition industry with commerce, tourism, culture and sports and other industries by linking the consumption area with exhibition promotion, and promote the overall industrial development of the region by combining the industrial functions of the Daxing area of the airport area.
It is worth noting that in the early stage, the Daxing Area of the Airport Zone completed the "International Design Solicitation of Urban Design for the Convention and Exhibition Consumption Area of the Airport Economic Zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport" with high quality, and in the process of compiling the "Planning", the highlight design of the urban design solicitation plan was integrated and refined, and the function of the exhibition area was positioned in four aspects: "a new window for international exchanges, a new benchmark for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaboration, a new engine for the development of the Daxing Area of the Airport Zone, and a new model for the integration of the port exhibition city". At the same time, the spatial structure of "one corridor, one center, four belts and multiple groups" will be constructed, among which, "one corridor" is the international exchange exhibition gallery, which will connect the Lixian hub, the exhibition group, the consumption hub and the central park; the "one center" is the comprehensive transportation hub of Lixian Station as the regional functional core; the "four belts" are the landscape recreation corridor, the communication vitality belt, the green south central axis and the exhibition experience belt, and the important corridor of the exhibition area will be constructed, which will assume multiple functions such as landscape, image, recreation and transportation; The three types of functional groups of living supporting groups provide scientific space support for the sustainable development of the exhibition area.
The "Planning" also carries out multi-dimensional design for the exhibition area, with a "double cross" landscape pattern, an ecological, low-carbon, complex, diversified and vibrant exhibition city style, an intelligent and convenient transportation service system, and a place name planning full of cultural and historical heritage, which fully demonstrates the historical and cultural heritage and style of the times in the exhibition area.
At present, Beijing is striving to build a major international event gathering capital with active international exchanges, perfect international services and prominent international influence, and optimizing the spatial layout of international conferences, exhibitions and consumption functional areas, which is an important part of promoting the construction of an international, high-end and service-oriented airport economic zone. Next, the Daxing Area of the Airport Zone will promote the construction and development of the exhibition area in phases and in an orderly manner, and accelerate the preliminary work of the first phase of the exhibition and the construction of supporting facilities in the near future. In the future, the airport area, Daxing area, and convention and exhibition area will become an important space for international exchanges and an important project to promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and further promote the quality development of economic development and new achievements in international exchanges.
