On May 1, 2024, Labor Day, at the No. 4 camp of Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park at the foot of Gongga Mountain, at an altitude of 3,600 meters, a group of volunteers who were stationed at the camp sat around the table to read red books and periodicals before the guests arrived.

Hailuogou is a part of Gongga Mountain, located in Moxi Town, Luding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Gongga Mountain, at the junction of Luding, Kangding and Ya'an Asbestos Counties in Ganzi Prefecture.

A young man named Tan Qianwei told me that they take the ropeway up the mountain at 5 a.m. every morning to do tourism volunteer service activities, and in the afternoon, they can't leave until the last guest leaves.
There are 11 volunteers serving in Camp No. 4, including 4 party members. The conditions on the mountain are difficult, sometimes there is no telephone signal, and the party class room is set up mainly through continuous study, enhancing self-cultivation, strengthening the revolutionary will, and serving the tourists.

When I asked about the 2022 earthquake, Xiao Tan told me that during the earthquake, there were landslides on all sides of the mountain, the trail was damaged, and the volunteers who were guarding the mountain were stranded on the mountain, and it took helicopters to pick up the mountain personnel back to safety on the third day.

Gongga Mountain, known as the "King of Shu Mountain", is 7,556 meters above sea level, covered with ice and snow all year round, when I asked if anyone has climbed Gongga Mountain, the young man said: "There are many people who go up the mountain, but few people go down the mountain alive."
