"I heard that several of them are going to hold a calligraphy and painting exhibition, no, I rushed here early in the morning to participate in the exhibition, and I really benefited a lot after watching it!" On May 1, in the Wenlan Pavilion exhibition hall of the Mamuji Old Street Cultural Center in Yucheng County, Shangqiu City, Wu Minyuan, a calligraphy and painting enthusiast from Duji Town, Yucheng County, said with a smile while admiring the calligraphy and painting works.
In order to celebrate the "May Day" International Labor Day and enrich the cultural life of the masses, on the morning of the same day, Yucheng County held a calligraphy and painting exhibition of Wang Sihai, Chen Gongxi, Peng Xiaoying and Liu Gaofeng in Wenlan Pavilion of the Cultural Center of Mamuji Old Street, Chengguan Town.
Under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of Yucheng County Party Committee, Yucheng County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Yucheng County Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Shangqiu Calligraphers Association, Shangqiu Artists Association, and Yucheng County Chengguan Town People's Government, this event was sponsored by Yucheng County Cultural Center and Yumen Calligraphy and Painting Institute;
Zhao Laixia, member of the Standing Committee of the Yucheng County Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda and Deputy County Magistrate, attended the event and delivered a speech. Responsible persons of relevant departments, well-known figures in the literary and artistic circles of Yucheng County, and people from all walks of life attended the event. The ceremony was presided over by Jia Wenliang, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Yucheng County Party Committee.
At the exhibition site, four calligraphers and painters, with infinite love for the party, the motherland, their hometown and life, used Hanmo to write the vicissitudes of New China, and depicted a beautiful life in the new era with Danqing. It is also the crystallization of the combination of culture and calligraphy and painting, which is rooted in excellent traditional culture, upright, innovative and exploratory. The calligraphy works exhibited are all complete, and the paintings are landscapes, flowers and birds, and figures, vividly demonstrating the incomparable charm of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting art, and conveying the sincere feelings of the party, the confidence in the profound cultural heritage of the hometown and the infinite pursuit of traditional culture through a single stroke, a picture, and a scene, so as to present a rich visual art feast for the majority of calligraphy and painting lovers.
After the exhibition, the participants held a symposium on the appreciation of calligraphy and painting works in the intangible cultural heritage small theater of Yucheng County Cultural Center. Zhang Xuefeng, vice chairman of Shangqiu Calligraphers Association, Wang Wenbo, etc., analyzed and commented on the calligraphy and painting works. The four calligraphers and painters shared and exchanged their creative path and creative experience with everyone. The famous calligraphers and painters spoke highly of the works in this exhibition and exchanged their creative experience together.
A total of more than 60 pieces of calligraphy and painting works were exhibited for 20 days. The successful holding of the four-person calligraphy and painting exhibition not only provides a platform for calligraphy and painting lovers to show their talents, exchange and learn, but also adds more color and vitality to the improvement of the quality of cultural life in the county.
