From April 27th to 30th, Mayor Xu Shuhai led a delegation to visit Uzbekistan, conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, fully implement the results of the first China-Uzbekistan Local Cooperation Forum and a series of provincial and state cooperation arrangements, and make a special trip to visit the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, and intensively visit Uzbekistan government departments, chambers of commerce, associations, institutions and enterprises, promote existing cooperation projects, share new opportunities of the "Belt and Road", and write a new chapter of mutual benefit and win-win results.
Economic and trade cooperation is the foundation and forerunner of the Belt and Road Initiative. Nearly 100 government officials and entrepreneur representatives from both sides gathered together to share friendship, promote development and further deepen cooperation between the two places. Kashkadarya Governor Azmov welcomed Xu Shuhai and his entourage, introduced the economic and social development of Kashkadarya Prefecture, and expressed his hope to strengthen communication and ties with Zhenjiang, deepen docking and exchanges in the fields of agricultural machinery, food and medicine, international logistics, cultural tourism, etc., and promote the friendly cooperation between the two sides to a new level. Xu Shuhai said that he looks forward to expanding new space for cooperation with Kashkadarya in trade and investment, showing new results in agricultural development, opening up new paths for cooperation in international logistics, and enhancing new heights of cooperation in people-to-people exchanges, so as to better achieve common development. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Kashkadarya Region Uzhakov, Kodirov and Rustamov, Mayor of Kashkadarya Region Karshi City Khorboyev, Governor of Karshi District Alikulov, Mayor of Chirakchi District Yusupov, Director of the Free Trade Zone Amanov, Head of Shakhri Sakz District Khasanov, Minister of Investment and Industry Aliboyev and others.
In recent years, Zhenjiang enterprises have actively explored the Central Asian market, and the cooperation between Zhenjiang and Uzbekistan has shown vigor and vitality. Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with Xu Shuhai and his entourage. During the meeting, Kasimov said that Zhenjiang is an important cooperative partner of Uzbekistan, and the cooperation between the two sides in the economic and trade fields has continued to develop. It is expected that the two sides will continue to work together to further promote the two-way investment and development of enterprises, expand the space for cooperation, improve the quality and efficiency of cooperation, and achieve a higher level of mutually beneficial and win-win development. Uzbekistan will make every effort to provide service guarantee and promote the implementation of cooperation projects between the two sides to accelerate the implementation and achieve results. Xu Shuhai briefly introduced the economic and social development of Zhenjiang, and hoped that the two sides would conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen development communication and demand docking, focus on key areas such as agricultural machinery and equipment, photovoltaics, and high-performance materials to promote complementary cooperation, and continue to make efforts to expand trade and investment, and tap potential, so as to better contribute to the economic and social development of both sides and improve people's livelihood and well-being.
Kashkadarya Prefecture Karshi is the first international friendship exchange city established by Zhenjiang City in Central Asia. Xu Shuhai had a discussion with Rustamov, Deputy Governor of Kashkadarya Region, and Khorboyev, Mayor of Karsh City. Xu Shuhai said that he hopes that the two cities will work together to promote more cooperation results in the economic and trade fields, encrypt the frequency of exchanges in agriculture, education, tourism and other fields, comprehensively deepen exchanges and integration, and work together to create a model of win-win cooperation along the "Belt and Road". Khorboyev expressed the hope that at a new starting point, we will deepen friendly exchanges, continue to expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and continuously enhance the friendship between the people of the two cities and enhance the level of cooperation between sister cities. Rustamov said that he will continue to optimize tax policies and support measures, and looks forward to more Zhenjiang enterprises investing in Kashkadarya.
On the 29th, Xu Shuhai and his entourage made a special trip to visit the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan and held talks with Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yu Jun. Yu Jun said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Ukraine relations have been upgraded to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, and China has continued to maintain its position as Ukraine's largest trading partner and main source of investment in recent years. Uzbekistan very much welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest in Uzbekistan, and hopes that Zhenjiang City will encourage key enterprises in the fields of agricultural machinery and photovoltaic to invest in Uzbekistan, and the embassy will make every effort to provide service guarantee and promote the common development of both sides. Xu Shuhai thanked the embassy for its concern and support for the development of Zhenjiang, and said that Zhenjiang will conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, fully implement the results of the first China-Uzbekistan Local Cooperation Forum and the series of provincial and state cooperation deployments, and strengthen pragmatic cooperation with Uzbekistan in the fields of economy, trade and investment, agricultural machinery, international logistics, and people-to-people exchanges in accordance with the requirements of the embassy, so as to make greater contributions to deepening China-Uzbekistan friendship and high-quality cooperation in the "Belt and Road".
During the inspection visit, Xu Shuhai and his entourage also visited LT Textile Company and Kashkadarya Free Trade Zone, and had discussions and exchanges with BMB and other companies to publicize and promote Zhenjiang and promote deepening cooperation; further promoted projects such as Tiansheng Pharmaceutical, World Agricultural Machinery, CECEP Solar Energy, and Nord Network Technology, and encouraged enterprises to accelerate foreign investment; and had in-depth exchanges with Ruzyev, Mayor of Istikon District, Samarkand Region, and reached a consensus on promoting cooperation in food processing, photovoltaic and other fields.
