Liu Lisheng frowned suddenly, suspecting that the takeaway was not clean, and hurriedly went to a nearby pharmacy to buy some anti-inflammatory drugs.
After taking the medicine for a period of time, Liu Lisheng felt that his symptoms had improved a lot, so he quickly stopped the medicine. However, since then, his appetite has gradually deteriorated, and he has lost a lot of weight.
On July 22, 2016, after Liu Lisheng returned home, he suddenly began to have diarrhea, his feces were black, and at the same time, he was weak, his fingers were still a little numb, and cold sweat was dripping on his forehead. Seeing that his face was not right, his wife noticed that he had lost a lot of weight recently, and suspected that there was something wrong with his body, so she hurriedly persuaded him to go to the hospital for a check-up. Liu Lisheng clutched his stomach and nodded with an ugly expression. The wife hurriedly drove and sent the person to the Provincial People's Hospital.
As a result, when I went to the hospital for an examination, the results showed that the CT scan results showed that the serous surface was blurred, the density increased, and the adjacent fat space appeared in the cord shadow. Serum tumor markers: CEA, CA199, CA72-4 were significantly increased, serum pepsinogen PG1 < 60ug/ml, and PGR ≤ 3.0, indicating the possibility of atrophic gastritis, gastric cancer, etc., and gastroscopy needed to be further improved.
The doctor told them that the situation may not be very optimistic, and that a gastroscopy and pathological biopsy are needed to further confirm the diagnosis. Liu Lisheng chuckled in his heart when he heard this, and his emotions suddenly became nervous. Although the clouds are light and light on the surface, in fact, his heart has already turned upside down, and he is just pretending to be calm at the moment.
When the wife heard that, her face couldn't help but turn a little pale, but she still held her husband's hand and comforted him, the doctor also said that he would continue to do the examination, and he was not sure, your physical fitness has always been good, and there should be no problems. It didn't take long for the results of the pathological examination to come back. Regrettably, Liu Lisheng was eventually diagnosed with early-stage antral cancer. In clinical practice, pathological biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosing early-stage gastric cancer. Examination results suggest chronic mild superficial inflammation of the antral mucosa with moderate intestinalization. The anterior wall of the antral antrum can be seen with a clear border, about 1.4 cm x 1.1 cm in size.
Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the stomach. In the early stage, patients often have no obvious symptoms, and occasionally show flatulence and indigestion after fullness. As the disease progresses, the patient will present with pain in the upper abdomen, anemia, loss of appetite, poor appetite, and later when the disease worsens, vomiting blood and black stools may occur. Due to the large consumption of tumor cells and tissues on the human body, cancer patients often experience weight loss and weight loss.
When he learned the news that he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, Liu Lisheng was stunned. His eyes widened, and his hand holding the checklist trembled uncontrollably, his eyes full of disbelief. How could he be diagnosed with cancer at such a young age?
Seeing this, the doctor couldn't help but sigh and told him that in recent years, due to changes in people's diet and living habits, such as ordering takeout, excessive consumption of fast food and pickled food, malignant diseases of the digestive system have shown a significant upward trend. At the same time, poor eating habits, such as overeating, eating too quickly in a hurry, eating wolfing, or eating irregularly, will increase the risk of stomach cancer.
Only then did Liu Lisheng know how ignorant he was in the past. However, at this moment, the checklist was grasped in his hand, as if he had been sentenced to death, and it was too late! Liu Lisheng's face turned pale, and his emotions collapsed instantly. Seeing this, his wife also burst into tears.
The doctor shook his head and advised him to be actively treated. Now that medical technology is so advanced, the cure rate of cancer patients is also increasing, and we must not give up hope. This sentence is like a sentence that woke up the person in the dream, Liu Lisheng finally realized that it was useless to escape from reality, and he had to find a way to survive.
So, with the company and support of his wife, Liu Lisheng visited famous doctors everywhere, and finally decided to use a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for treatment. He first underwent surgery in the hospital, followed by chemotherapy after surgery, and finally used traditional Chinese medicine to regulate his body.
After a four-year anti-cancer career, on August 16, 2020, when Liu Lisheng went to the hospital for a follow-up, the doctor was very happy to inform him: "Mr. Liu Lisheng, your 4 examinations are normal, congratulations, you are not far from cure!"
The four examination indicators are: three routine examination indicators, tumor marker examination indicators, imaging examination indicators, and specific organ function.
The first is the three major routine examination indicators, which refer to the three most basic items of blood routine, urine routine and stool routine. The blood routine is mainly to check the blood, and the blood analysis, including white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets, has a suggestive effect on various diseases, and is the most basic clinical examination.
The urine routine is mainly used to diagnose kidney diseases, due to the large number of clinical drugs, due to the nephrotoxicity of the drugs, and the development of the patient's own disease, it may cause kidney damage, so this examination item is also a basic item.
Stool examination is usually done to detect occult blood, which can cause occult blood in the stool when the tumor grows in the intestines or stomach and other organs in the early stage. Due to the high cost of gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and the invasive test, stool examination can be used as a means of initial examination. These three examinations can provide a basic understanding of the internal condition of the patient's body and determine whether the body has returned to normal condition.
The second is a tumor marker test, which can detect the development of the tumor in the patient's body, and if there is an abnormality, there is a possibility of recurrence. The third is imaging examination, mainly CT, chest X-ray and other examinations, which can clarify the patient's lesions, understand the progress of the patient's condition, and whether there are signs of improvement.
The fourth is specific organ function, for example, when a patient has stomach cancer, he needs to do stomach related examinations, and liver cancer needs to be tested for liver. Secondly, there are some patients who may affect liver and kidney function after chemotherapy, and they also need to undergo relevant examinations. When the cancer is cured, all organs of the body will gradually recover, and when the indicators are normal, it means that the cancer has been clinically cured.
In clinical practice, there is a term called 5-year survival rate, which means that the probability and risk of recurrence of cancer patients within five years are relatively large, and after these five years, the probability of cancer recurrence will decrease, which means that the patient has achieved clinical cure. According to research, many cancer patients are prone to recurrence in the third year after treatment, and almost 90% of cancer patients who recur occur in this time period, and the probability of cancer recurrence after five years is already very low.
All in all, although the probability of recurrence after five years is very low, it does not mean that the probability is zero, so patients should still have regular physical examinations, detect abnormal conditions in time, and go to the hospital for regular check-ups.
