On April 30, accompanied by a loud slogan, the happy run jointly sponsored by the People's Government of Baohua Town, Rong County and Zigong Xiaojinggou Water Conservancy Engineering Co., Ltd. was held in Baohua Town.
Early in the morning, the participants of the Happy Run came to the starting point early to check in and assemble. They include staff from the Rong County Finance Bureau and Baohua Town, as well as project builders from Xiaojinggou Reservoir. At 8:30 a.m., with the sound of the starting gun, nearly 100 contestants set off from the gate of Xiaojinggou Water Conservancy Engineering Co., Ltd. and stepped on this rural track about 5 kilometers long. They passed through the Xiaojinggou resettlement site, along the reservoir, Rongxian New Tea Varieties Exhibition Park and other places, and finally arrived at the viewing platform of the Shuiyun Tea Township Scenic Area. The contestants ran happily all the way, watching a new picture of livable, workable and beautiful countryside all the way.
Huang Guoqing, the first runner to cross the line in the Happy Run, told reporters: "Participating in this event, I enjoyed the scenery while exercising, the air here is very fresh, and the environment along the way is also very good. As one of the builders of the Xiaojinggou Reservoir Project, Du Qiang also said that participating in the Happy Run not only can appreciate the majestic project of Xiaojinggou, but also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Baohua Town. At the same time, he also called on everyone to take care of the natural environment, protect the clean water, and build a harmonious and beautiful countryside together.
In the end, after fierce competition, 15 contestants stood out and received medals and exquisite gifts from the organizers.
Wang Hexin, chief engineer of Zigong Xiaojinggou Water Conservancy Engineering Co., Ltd., told reporters that Xiaojinggou Reservoir undertakes the task of supplying raw water to more than 3 million people in Zigong City.
