This year (2024) from April 25 to May 1 is the 22nd National Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law Publicity Week, and the theme of this publicity week is "Adhere to Prevention and Protect Occupational Health".
Recently, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the superiors, the Zumiao Street Health Office has carried out a series of publicity activities on the "Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law" in enterprises and industrial parks, thoroughly publicized and implemented the "Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law", popularized the knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control, improved the legal awareness of occupational disease prevention and control of employers and workers, and safeguarded the occupational health rights and interests of workers.
The occupational disease prevention and control publicity week activities were highly valued by the leaders of the Zumiao Street Health Office, and the publicity activities of the Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law Publicity Week were held in advance.
On April 22nd and 25th, the Zumiao Street Health Office visited the large enterprises in the jurisdiction, Osram Lighting (China) Co., Ltd. and Sinopharm Dezhong (Foshan) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., to carry out the publicity week of the "Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law". At the same time, experts from the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases from Chancheng District People's Hospital were invited to give lectures on occupational health knowledge on "Common Occupational Diseases and Their Prevention" to the workers of the two enterprises, and distributed brochures and promotional gifts to the workers participating in the activities. The leaders and employees of the two companies have shown great enthusiasm for this publicity campaign on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, and hope that more similar activities will be carried out in the future.
On April 26, the Zumiao Street Health Office, together with Yongan Hospital, Yuanfang Medical Outpatient Department, 1999 Dental Clinic, and Wennan Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, carried out occupational disease prevention and control publicity and free clinic activities for employees in Yanger Industrial Zone, Dongsheng Village. At the event site, banners were hung, occupational disease prevention and control knowledge publicity display boards were placed, brochures and promotional gifts were distributed to create a strong publicity atmosphere for occupational disease prevention and control week. The staff of the Zumiao Street Health Office explained and publicized the "Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Occupational Diseases" and other laws and regulations, the legal responsibilities and obligations of employers for the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases, and the rights of workers to occupational health protection in accordance with the law, and provided consultation and suggestions. Medical institutions at all levels carry out free clinics and receive health consultations for the employees of the majority of enterprises in the park, and actively popularize the knowledge of common occupational diseases prevention and health care for employees.
In addition, the Zumiao Street Health Office also cooperated with the village (resident) committees in the jurisdiction to play the posters and slogans of the "Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law" publicity week on the electronic display screens in various densely populated public places, so as to create a good atmosphere for the whole society to care about occupational health.
Through this round of publicity activities, the Zumiao Street Health Office further understood the lack and demand of ordinary workers for the knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control, and became more deeply aware of the importance of protecting the occupational health of workers. In the future, the Zumiao Street Health Office will continue to increase the publicity of the knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control in enterprises and employers, strive to improve the awareness of occupational hazards among the majority of workers, improve the consciousness of protection, and publicize and implement the "Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law" as a long-term and regular work. At the same time, we will strengthen the supervision and inspection of law enforcement, further strengthen the main responsibility of employers, and strictly implement the systems of declaration of occupational disease hazards, the "three simultaneities" of occupational disease prevention facilities in construction projects, the detection and evaluation of occupational disease hazard factors, and the occupational health examination and health training of workers.
