"My family plans to plant 5 acres of tobacco this year, and in recent years, we have paved drip irrigation and used smoke planters, which is more and more labor-saving, and the transplanting efficiency has also improved, and it is estimated that it can be transplanted in 2 days. Li Xinggui, a tobacco farmer in Xiazhuang community, said.
"We Qingyi Village flue-cured tobacco planting area of about 800 acres, the early stage according to the plan to complete the land preparation, moisture, April 27 this year began to transplant, all unified implementation of the film transplanting mode. The seedling point of Zhangsiying Village is the largest and most concentrated flue-cured tobacco seedling point in Xiazhuang Town. In order to make every effort to do a good job in the tobacco seedling cultivation work in the town in 2024, Zhang Siying seedling breeding point strictly follows the requirements of the "Xiangyun County 2024 Flue-cured Tobacco Seedling Floating Seedling Breeding Technical Plan" to standardize the seedling cultivation, and provide "one-stop" seedling planting services for tobacco farmers.
In the face of high temperature and little rain, Xiazhuang Town planned in advance, actively did a good job in water resource scheduling and ditch dredging, scientifically and reasonably formulated a water use plan, and effectively guaranteed the water for flue-cured tobacco transplanting.
Since the beginning of this year, Xiazhuang Town has made early arrangements, early planning, and early implementation, firmly grasped the overall goal of "stabilizing the foundation, removing inferior miscellaneous, improving quality, and promoting income increase", optimized the layout of tobacco areas, strengthened technical measures, and vigorously promoted the expansion, production, and quality improvement of the flue-cured tobacco industry.
This year, Xiazhuang Town plans to plant 16,420 acres of flue-cured tobacco, purchase 44,550 quintals, tobacco area planning involves 2,203 tobacco farmers in 11 administrative villages, and it is expected to complete the transplanting work on May 8.
