On the afternoon of April 27, the first quarter of 2024 "Reading Huadu, Scholarly Four Seasons" book club was successfully held in the New Era Civilization Practice Center of Huadu District. More than 100 people, including leaders of relevant units in the district, literature lovers and citizen readers, participated in the event.
The event invited Ms. Shi Yuyan, the initiator of the Nanyue Youth Classics Reading Promotion Center, to share the theme of "Good Education". Through the "Five Questions and Six Discussions", Mr. Shi shared his unique views on education: the highest level of education is to "seek the Tao", which is to cultivate people with noble character, profound wisdom and mature mind; good education is the process of guiding everyone to understand themselves, develop themselves, and surpass themselves; and the success of education lies in allowing students to distinguish between good and evil, beauty and ugliness, and have well-founded life coordinates.

It is reported that "Good Education" is the crystallization of the thinking of the famous scholar Bao Pengshan who has been engaged in education for nearly 40 years, and the book responds to the concerns and anxieties of parents and educators from five aspects: education, teachers, quality, classics and teaching materials.
Subsequently, around the theme of "good education", scholars and entrepreneurs expressed their opinions and spoke freely in their own professional fields, from firm educational self-confidence to firm cultural self-confidence, and then to the construction of corporate culture, elite representatives from all walks of life have put forward unique insights and practical suggestions, experience, views, and ideas collide with each other, intertwining brilliant sparks of wisdom, fully demonstrating the unique charm of the purpose of the book club "using reading as a medium to promote cross-border exchanges".
In the interactive exchange session, the book friends enthusiastically shared their feelings and expressed their expectations and voices for family education, social education, and national education. Book friends have expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the event for building a new type of learning and exchange platform, so that all walks of life can release the fatigue and troubles of life in the company of books, find "poetry and distance" in beautiful words and profound exchanges, and inspire the infinite strength of moving forward bravely and continuing to forge ahead.
At the end of the event, the organizer also invited a professional ophthalmologist to explain the correct techniques of eye exercises to the book friends, reminding everyone to take care of their physical health while pursuing knowledge.
It is reported that in 2024, Huadu District will follow the overall idea of "1+3+6", that is, 1 release ceremony, 3 key activities, and 6 series of content, relying on the main positions of cultural venues, rural bookstores, new era civilization practice centers (stations, institutes), primary and secondary schools, physical bookstores, etc., to solidly promote national reading into 10 key areas such as rural areas, institutions, campuses, and enterprises, and polish the "scholarly Huadu" by organizing and carrying out a series of reading activities with distinct themes, rich contents, and various forms The national reading brand focuses on telling the story of Huadu and gathering the power of development.
