Applying for the world's fourth "City of Design"?
In 2008, Shenzhen was recognized as a "City of Design" by UNESCO's Global Creative Cities Network. This is of great significance to the development and growth of Shenzhen's cultural and creative industries and to the world.
During the two-year application journey, Hu Hongxia, who was then a member of the editorial board of Shenzhen Business Daily, first discovered the possibility of Shenzhen's "Shendu" by chance, and was later entrusted with an important task as a member of the Shenzhen delegation to participate in the preliminary research and investigation and complete the writing of the "Shendu" report. "In Shenzhen?" Zhang Zhixian contacted Hu Hongxia and said that he wanted to make up the "old age photos", so he had this set of comparison photos.
It turned out that Zhang Zhixian was busy organizing a portrait exhibition.
Talking about the origin of curation, he mentioned, "At first, after taking pictures of an old painter, I compared the old photos from many years ago, and I deeply felt that the years were unforgiving, and I couldn't forget their young and vivid appearance. I decided to retake the portraits of my friends again and make a comparison exhibition. ”
It is not so much that Zhang Zhixian took portraits of cultural figures, but rather vivid and inspirational stories of Shenzhen culture.
For example, Chen Xiangbo, who designed the mascot for CCTV for two consecutive years and brought "Shenzhen elements" to the stage of the Spring Festival Gala, the director of Guan Shanyue Art Museum, was also captured by Zhang Zhixian.

In the early 90s of the last century, Shenzhen was preparing to build the Guan Shanyue Art Museum, and Guan Shanyue, a master of contemporary Chinese painting, thought of Chen Xiangbo, who had just graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and sent him an invitation.
In this way, Chen Xiangbo came to Shenzhen with a pure heart for art, participated in the preparation of the art museum, and witnessed the vigorous development of Shenzhen's art industry.
Chen Xiangbo still remembers when he first arrived in Shenzhen, when the Guan Shanyue Art Museum was under construction, in a temporary resettlement area. At that time, "the central area of Futian was still a wasteland. Nowadays, Futian is full of high-rise buildings and flowers. ”

Li Yawei began to learn music at the age of 7 or 8, playing the violin, and receiving the influence of music.
After graduating from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music, she was assigned to the Changchun Film Studio Orchestra, and later worked as a screenwriter and director. She said, "I have worked in a film studio for 16 years, and my love for film and television is engraved in my bones. ”
"Some seniors said, 'If you want to create and start a business, you must go to Shenzhen. I was tempted, and I felt that I should go to a very hot place and stimulate a lot of my desire to create. By chance, she entered the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles at the age of 36.

Zhang Zhixian, who pressed the shutter countless times, was also a member of the southern Shenzhen in the 90s of the last century. What few people know is that at that time, he was nearly half a hundred years old and began to get involved in the art of photography, all on his own.
Aiming the lens at friends in the cultural and artistic circles also has a unique "advantage". At that time, the "Eight Immortal Tower" operated by him was used as a stronghold of Shenzhen cultural people, gathering "pioneer cattle" from all over the world.
In this regard, Zhang Zhixian felt deeply, "They came when Shenzhen set off the tide of reform, they are young people in their prime, and they are middle-aged people in the prime of life. At the forefront of leading the trend, the hard work of youth is exchanged for the splendor of this city. ”
On the map of Shenzhen's cultural construction, it is generation after generation of artists who are rooted in the hot land of reform and innovation culture, telling the stories of Futian, Shenzhen and China in a broad world vision.

Zhang Zhixian admits that this period is the peak moment of his portrait shooting, and the intensity of "shooting dozens of times a month" has brought a lot of challenges to the 78-year-old photographer.
Under the promotion of various forces, the "Years Like a Song" Shenzhen Culture and Art Pioneer Portrait Exhibition was successfully opened at the Shenzhen Youth Art Museum.
Tribute to the artist and praise to the laborer
Through the lens, curator Zhang Zhixian captured the self-comparison of 188 Shenzhen cultural and art workers from youth to old age, frost-dyed temples, in the same frame of the present and the past, attracting people to stop.
Coupled with a brief introduction to the creative resume, the artistic splendor of a group of people, a city and an era is fully displayed.
The exhibition is guided by the Propaganda Department of the Futian District Party Committee and co-sponsored by the Futian District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Futian District Federation of Trade Unions, and the Shenzhen Elderly Photography Society.
