In 2023, the Nanchong Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government put forward the strategic goal of "building a leading and influential new media flagship in the province", and established Nanchong Financial Media Center and Nanchong Media Group Co., Ltd. In April 2024, Nanchong was the first to be approved in the second batch of municipal financial media centers supported by the Provincial Party Committee. The center is a county-level public welfare second-class institution directly under the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, which is managed by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, and the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, and Tourism performs the management responsibilities of the radio and television industry.
