According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred at the Nanpu Bridge Pudong to Puxi downward approach bridge. At the time of the accident, a car with a new energy license plate was parked on the rightmost lane of the east-west approach bridge, and there was an open flame burning in the cab and rear row of the vehicle, and the scene was full of smoke, and the driver called the police after getting out of the car. The drivers of the passing vehicles changed lanes to the left and drove away from the scene quickly. Due to the rapid spread of the fire, the vehicle that caught fire soon fell into a sea of flames.
After receiving the alarm, the Huangpu District Fire and Rescue Detachment Station Fire and Rescue Station sent fire trucks to the scene as soon as possible. After the firefighters arrived at the scene, they climbed over the cement isolation pier in the middle of the approach road and laid a hose to extinguish the fire.
