The Rockets extended their lead, with Bingham Allen taking the lead
Before the end of the second round of the World Championship, Ronnie O'Sullivan led Ryan Day 10-6.
The Rockets are aiming to break the record to win their eighth World Title, tying Stephen Hendry's seven titles after winning the title in 2022.
Despite extending their 5-3 lead from this morning, the Rockets appear visibly frustrated for tonight's game.
He scored 82, 65 and 89 points to win three of the first four games of the night and take a huge 8-4 advantage in the middle stages.
After returning from the break, the 41-time ranking tournament champion continued to make a difference, adding 56 and 96 points to extend the advantage to 10-4. However, Ryan Day hasn't beaten the Rockets since 2011 and scored 72 and 75 points in the final two games to close the score.
At the next table, Kyren Wilson led O'Connor 10-6 at the end of the second period.
The Warriors took a 6-2 lead in the first period, and he scored 56, 58 and 86 points in the second period to gain a 10-5 advantage. But O'Connor returned with a 102 in a single stroke to show his level.
Tonight's two games will start tomorrow evening at 22 o'clock.
World No. 3 Mark Allen won four games in a row in the final game of the second stage of the World Championships to overtake Higgins 9-7.
The Northern Irish star is still looking for that elusive world title that will see him complete a Grand Slam. Allen has already won the 2018 Masters and the 2022 British Championship.
Higgins, the four-time King of Crucible Scotland, is struggling to retain his seeding status and he must beat Allen here to have a chance.
They drew 4-4 at the end of the first period, but Higgins got off to the brightest start. He scored just a 75 to win three of the first four rounds and take a 7-5 lead in the middle stages.
But after returning from the break, Allen accelerated his speed and scored 71, 94, 80 and 74 points in a row to launch a counterattack, and finally led 9-7. Their final phase will begin at three a.m. the next day.
In the other game of the same period, Bingham led Lisowski 9-7 at the end of the second period.
Both players were qualifiers who emerged from the British Sports Academy earlier this month and have endured a sluggish season so far.
Bingham led 5-3 this afternoon, but Driver Kee fought back to win three of the first four games to tie the score at 6-6. Bingham took the lead again in the 13th inning, and the driver scored 72 points in the 14th inning to tie again. But Bingham controlled the final two games of the period to take a 9-7 lead.
