author:Study Times

Family letters are the bond that connects the emotions of the family and the mirror that reflects the construction of the family style. The red letters of the older generation of revolutionaries are not only a tool for communicating information, but also contain ideals, teachings and care. The author read the red family letters and was deeply attracted by the personality charm displayed in the family letters of the revolutionary ancestors. Read carefully, the paper is short and long, and the wind and bones are cultivated, all in it.

Sincere and simple love and tenderness

There is concern and care in the red family letter. The letters reflect the revolutionaries' concern and affection for their relatives, and their affection leaps onto the page.

In 1919, Mao Zedong, who was working as an assistant in the library of Peking University, learned that his mother was seriously ill, and after several turnovers, he rushed back to Hunan from Beijing to take his mother to Changsha for treatment. He wrote to his uncles Wen Zhengxing and Wen Zhengying, saying: "Wen's mother is critically ill and has to rush back to serve. Yu Yang set off on March 12, went to Shanghai on the 14th, stayed for 20 days, and began to travel from Shanghai to the province on April 6. Serving the decoction and medicine, not abandoning the ......" thousands of mountains and rivers can't stop a son's thoughts and love for his mother. Filial piety comes first, and filial piety has been deeply integrated into the blood of the Chinese. A letter to the family, the pen and ink flow out of the deep love and longing for his mother.

Many revolutionaries of the older generation have spent their lives in the middle of their lives, gathering less with their relatives and leaving them more. However, in addition to their busy schedules, they often think about their families. In a letter to his children, Chen Yi wrote: "You should review your homework and pay attention to exercise. Shanshan wants to listen to her mother, and Danhuai has to pay attention to gaining weight. You have to advise your mother to rest more, she is too tired from reading...... "between the bits and pieces, considerate." The simple and unpretentious language and deep admonitions convey Chen Yi's love for his wife and children.

On New Year's Day in 1982, Peng Zhen and his wife wrote a letter to their granddaughter Xiaoni, encouraging her to develop good habits and strive to achieve the "three good": "Today is the New Year's Day of 1982, we wish you a happy and progressive New Year, good health, good study, and good work!"

The family affection revealed in the red family letter is so real. Revolutionaries are full of sincere love for their families, and warm families nourish the seeds of goodness in their hearts, give them strength, and finally transform them into the driving force to pursue the truth and run towards the light.

The earnest teachings of the spring breeze and rain

There is education and encouragement in the red family letter. The letters carry the teachings and encouragement of the revolutionary ancestors to the younger generations, and the earnest teachings are touching and heartfelt.

Liu Shaoqi's son, Liu Yunruo, was sent to study at the Moscow Aviation Institute in the Soviet Union in 1954, and was pessimistic during his study abroad. In his letter, he exhorted his son: "In your letter you also show a pessimistic mood, a false pessimistic outlook on life. This is very bad. Young people should not have this kind of emotion...... You must strive to change this kind of sentiment you are experiencing, and you must have an optimistic attitude toward everything......" In the letter, Liu Shaoqi also taught his son to take the initiative to accept the supervision of the party and the people, writing: "You must understand that everyone should not evade the supervision of the party and the people, but should take the initiative to put his thoughts, speeches, and actions under the supervision of the party and the people. ”

When her daughter Ye Chumei was studying at the Moscow Institute of Finance and Economics in the Soviet Union, Ye Jianying taught her to prepare for the construction of New China while she was studying. In a letter to his daughter, he said: "Let the next generation process our motherland into a free, happy, civilized, progressive, solemn, and gorgeous world." You cannot shirk this responsibility, and you must fulfill the responsibility of your generation. Therefore, while you are still studying, you should work wholeheartedly to build our completely new China!"

In January 1951, Xie Jueya wrote a letter to his niece Xie Qianfang, nephew Xie Maoqi and others, encouraging them to work and study hard, to be independent people, and to contribute to the construction of a new society. In the letter, he said: "It is wrong to want to rely on an individual, for example, to rely on me, and there are still people in the family who think like this. ”

The teachings, expectations, and encouragement of the revolutionary forefathers to the younger generations are clearly visible in the family letters. Ren Bishi wrote to his daughter Ren Yuanfang, saying, "I hope you will study harder and become an excellent expert"; Xu Teli wrote to encourage his daughter Xu Jinghan, saying, "If you need to be hired by our party, then you need to be more patient and harder than others"; Zhu De wrote to teach his son Zhu Qi that "if you go deep into the masses, you will really understand how socialism is built"; and so on. The language on the paper is full of warmth, like a spring breeze and rain, nourishing the heart.

Unwavering ideals and aspirations

As the saying goes: "If you are not afraid of a long road, you are afraid of a short ambition", and a very important part of the construction of family style is to educate the younger generations to be a person with ideals. There is determination and ambition in the red family letter. The letters show the positive pursuit of revolutionaries, and the ideals and beliefs are moving.

Wang Ruofei wrote in a letter to his uncle Huang Qisheng: "I was raised by my uncle when I was young, and I did not repay an inch...... I read religious books only to know how people's social life was reflected in their minds then and now, and our philosophy is that everything is in flux. We must not only understand the world, but also transform the world......" In his letter, he thanked his uncle on the one hand, and criticized his erroneous understanding with a Marxist philosophical viewpoint on the other. Family letters not only convey emotions, but also exchange ideas, correct the misunderstandings of family members, and from another point of view, they are also the embodiment of the revolutionary's own firm belief and determination to transform the world.

In a letter to his father Yu Yunqin in March 1920, Yu Xiusong wrote: "Experiment with my ideological life, and I want to spread it to all mankind, so that they can enjoy this luscious, happy, fraternity, mutual assistance, and free ......." Between the words, we can see the confidence and joy of a Marxist in pursuing new ideas and experiencing a new life. In January 1923, Yu Xiusong wrote to his parents about his intention to engage in military struggle, in which he said: "My decision to join the army is due to the fact that I have witnessed the unreasonable oppression of workers everywhere by the warlords, and I want to save the greatest number of toiling people in China." "It shows the lofty ideals and strong determination to defeat the warlords and rescue the toiling masses.

Without ideals, life would turn pale. Luo Ruiqing wrote to his daughter Luo Diandian, saying, "To be a 'Dapeng bird' and never to be a 'pengjian bird'"; Luo Ronghuan wrote to his daughter Luo Yuying, saying that "serving the people has become a lifelong occupation"; and Wang Jiaxiang wrote to his cousin Wang Liuhua saying that "to be a new youth in the twentieth century...... The revolutionary ancestors expressed their ideals and aspirations in their letters to their families, inspiring themselves and their families.

A high degree of self-discipline to lead by example

There is righteousness and character in the red family letter. The letters convey the decency of revolutionaries who lead by example.

In a letter to his daughter Luo Yuying in December 1949, Luo Ronghuan wrote: "Your father has been serving the people for more than 20 years...... It will not be as you think, you are an official, and you will not have any money to make. Your father's life, except for enjoying the treatment stipulated by the state, has no private ......" In the letter, Luo Ronghuan set an example for himself, so that his daughter Luo Yuying had a deeper understanding of what kind of person her father was.

Yang Kaizhi, Yang Kaihui's eldest brother, wrote to Mao Zedong hoping to arrange a job for him in Beijing or recommend him for a better job in Hunan Province. Mao Zedong replied: "I hope that you will listen to the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Hunan to cooperate with your ability, and do not have any extravagant expectations, and do not come to Beijing." Hunan Province will do whatever work you are assigned, and everything should be handled according to normal rules, so as not to embarrass the government. He was warned to stick to principles and not to be special.

In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Liu Shaoqi wrote a letter to his sister Liu Shaoyi, explaining to her the land reform policy of New China...... What the people's government wants to do, you must honestly follow. Liu Shaoqi also advised his sister in the letter: "Don't come to me...... I became the vice chairman of the Central People's Government, and it was my honor for you to farm and eat in the countryside. He exhorted his sister to implement the policy and act in accordance with the government's decrees.

The revolutionary ancestors set an example, exercised self-restraint, and took the lead in governing the family with integrity. He Shuheng once wrote to his son He Xinjiu, "My outlook on life is absolutely not to fool my children and grandchildren by seeking promotion and wealth for the sake of one family"; Chen Yi wrote to his brother Chen Mengxi "to find a way, be self-reliant and economical, and warn the family members and others"; Wu Yuzhang wrote to his nephew Lin Yu to "properly implement government decrees and serve the people sincerely"; and so on. The revolutionary ancestors always maintained a decent style of work and set a good example for their families.

The red family letter allows us to better feel the feelings of the revolutionary ancestors, and at the same time, it can also make people check it against. Self-cultivation and Qi family rule the country and level the world, self-cultivation and Qi family are the foundation. Only by paying attention to the construction of family style, setting an example, managing family members well, and nurturing family style well, can we better devote ourselves to serving the people wholeheartedly and always do things that are beneficial to the people.
