On April 26, singing and thunderous applause in the Xixiang Hall of Xixiang Street, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, the final of the 2024 Xixiang Street Staff Chorus Competition, a civilized practice activity in the new era, was passionately sung. The 15 participating teams sang affectionately, telling the story of Xixiang who made unremitting efforts on the new journey with the loudest singing voices, fully demonstrating the good spirit of Xixiang employees striving to build "the core of the Bay Area city, the highland of digital economy, and the quality of mountains and seas". The competition was broadcast live online and offline, with thousands of on-site viewers and 165,000 online viewers.
The competition was guided by the Bao'an District Federation of Trade Unions and the Bao'an District Public Culture and Sports Service Center, hosted by the Xixiang Street Office and the Xixiang Street New Era Civilization Practice, and undertaken by the Xixiang Street Federation of Trade Unions, the Staff Service Center, the Public Service Office (Culture and Sports), the Party and Government Comprehensive Office (Publicity), the Xixiang Street Youth League Working Committee, the Women's Federation, and the Party Building Service Center. The competition is divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final, with more than 1,300 people from 28 teams participating in the preliminary round, and after intense competition, 15 teams finally stood out and entered the finals.
The curtain opened, the lights flickered, and the "New Quality Power" choir brought "Light Up the Future" to kick off the competition. Subsequently, the participating teams dressed in neat and uniform costumes, with a confident and full state appeared on the stage, "Red Women's Army", "My Chinese Heart", "Pearl of the Orient" and other songs sang in turn, the majestic and passionate melody made the audience deeply moved and inspired, patriotism, the dream of a strong country surging in everyone's heart.
On the stage, the workers sang beautifully and the songs were moving, and off the stage, the audience cheered for the contestants with applause and shouts, and the atmosphere was very warm. The competition of the day came to an end in the majestic and sonorous chorus "We Workers Have Power".
In the end, the choir of the organ trade union won the first prize, the Hongyan Art Troupe and the Aishen Choir won the second prize, and the Choir of Fuzhong Fu Changqing University for the Aging, the Qiuyun Choir of Taoyuan Community, and the Yongfeng Community Choir won the third prize. Huang Shibin, Secretary of the Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Bao'an District Federation of Trade Unions, and Li Jinyu, Member of the Party Working Committee of Xixiang Street and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions, presented awards to the winning teams.
