The reporter learned from the China National Space Administration that today (27th), after the Chang'e-6 probe and the Long March 5 Yao-8 carrier rocket completed the relevant work in the technical area at the Wenchang Space Launch Site in China, the instrument-arrow assembly was vertically transferred to the launch area, and the launch was planned to be carried out at an opportune time in early May.

After arriving at the launch site in January and March, respectively, the Chang'e-6 probe and the Long March 5 Yao-8 carrier rocket have completed various preparations such as assembly and testing.

On April 27, the active launch platform carrying the Long March 5 Yao-8 launch vehicle slowly safely transferred the instrument-rocket assembly from the vertical test building to the launch area. In the future, various functional inspections, joint tests, and propellant filling will be carried out as planned.

The Chang'e-6 mission will make breakthroughs in key technologies such as the design and control of the moon's retrograde orbit, intelligent sampling on the back of the moon, and take-off and ascent on the far side of the moon, implement automatic sampling and return on the far side of the moon, and carry out scientific exploration and international cooperation in the landing area. It will also be the first time that humans have taken samples from the far side of the moon.
