The total length of the Yingxia Railway is 698 kilometers, in February 1955, the 3rd, 5th, and 7th divisions of the railway corps were transferred to the northern section for construction, and with the gradual completion of the Lizhan railway project, the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 10th, 11th divisions and the independent bridge regiment were transferred to the southern section of the construction. The railway corps was moved from Guixian County, Guangxi to Nanping, Fujian Province to direct the construction. It took only one year and 10 months to complete the railway, which was originally planned to be built in three years.

The railway soldiers and the people of Fujian worked hand in hand, fought side by side, worked hard, and completed the construction of 698 kilometers of railways in only one year and 10 months, achieving the goal of opening to traffic one year ahead of schedule, and Fujian has since had its first trunk railway. The construction and operation of the Yingxia Railway is of great economic and military significance to the development of the national economy and the consolidation of coastal defense in the southeast, and the spirit of "moving mountains and reclaiming the sea" created in the construction of the railway has become a precious asset for the railway soldiers and the people of Fujian.
